Was into that stuff when I was 18… still fun to occasionally revisit Cruelty And The Beast which I listened to a lot back then. By coincidence, I checked out their new video a few days back, and it sounded exactly like they always have. Their vocalist is “an aquired taste” for sure, haha.

Yeah, and their introduction to the scene was when I started hearing the term “MATHCORE” to describe some goofy janky so-called metal with weird time signature breakdowns or some shit. I remember thinking how it just made me hate them even more. Fucking nerds. Yaaaaayyyyyyy, Math!
