In the states (or at least the south), those machines are common. In fact, I’ve rarely seen a lone Galaga machine. All the ones I see are always paired with Ms. Pac Man, or at least Galaxian.
There seems to be an obvious generation gap between me and you guys since I’d play Doom and Mortal Kombat instead of these old coin up games any day

a few years ago I saw a mock trailer for a film adaptation of Pac-Man. It was about a cyclist with a yellow helmet who would become super-strong after popping a few pills I thought that was brilliant.
