The 2 night Cocoon Festival @ GRV in Edinburgh starting Saturday 12th of September is going to be a banger!
You can either buy tickets for both nights or just the seperate nights.
The Saturday night price is £12 and can be purchased from the link below which also features all the info about the Festival and bands/artists involved. Once purchased you pick tickets up from the venue on the night.
If anyone from the forum would like to come to Edinburgh and see Jesu blow shit up do pm me and I’ll be happy to put you up at mine as my girlfriend is away that weekend and I have the place to myself. I have a two bedroom place plus a bunk room and of course the trusty sofas in the lounge so there’s quite a bit of room.
I’d take that offer up only for a few reasons; my arse is broke, start back at college that week and the man himself informed me that he’ll be playing my neck of the woods either this year or early 2010 (better stick to his word). But enjoy.
I listened a bit to Crippled Black Phoenix’s new album earlier this year, was ok, kinda got sick of it. The second song was the best but it’s an obvious rip off of Pink Floyd’s ‘One of These Days’. I think someone from Mogwai is in that band. If they’re anything half as good as Mogwai live they’d be worth watching.

Yeah I heard it had something to do with folk from Iron Monkey, Mogwai and Portishead? Interesting combo. They’re playing on the Sunday night so I’ll be missing that one.
Whoever posted that did a pretty awesome job of dubbing the studio version over it. Very professional indeed?
The sound tech who ever it was was useless on the night…jesu’s monitors weren’t working for the majority of the set. Justin’s vocals were drowned out for 90% of the set too…other than that it was still pretty awesome.
I really wish Justin would score an awesome sound tech to tour with.
the monitors in the grv are shit, so much beer spilled on them from the hip hop and club nights. i’ve played there before and this was the excuse i’d been given, can’t hear fuck all up there!
investing in a decent set of in ear monitors probably isn’t out of JB’s price range. Makes a world of difference when it comes to those pestky festival shows or post dub night clubs.
