Great.

Pointless ‘dance’ remixes of songs no one wanted to hear the first time round.

And how about collaborating with some more interesting artists for once. It’s the same old people time and time again. For instance, have Amon Tobin or Boards Of Canada give Revco the mix treatment - just to bring in something fresh.

maybe they are mediocre “dancey” remixes, but three snippets so far that i’ve heard on myspace page (i’m not proud of visiting myspace allright) were actually a bit better than original versions, not so much guitarish. i’m surprised that they decieded to remix whole album. it’s something new for the ministry camp too, since they never done that before; i guess it’s keeping up with al’s new fancy to produce cds fast, compared to lenghty periods of “hazy days”, and this is the perfect solution, minimum work - whoa, a new cd. and those subtitles in brackets… oy…

and i really have problem with them spelling “mixxx” and “revoling cox”. a “cocklish” theme was prominent through “classic” revco albums, but not so much over-abusive, a good gimmick is good in moderation, nowadays it looks like everything is just bent and made to coincide with cock-cock-cock. and those liner notes for “cocked and loaded”!.. “abusing right-wing fanatics”? ridiculous.

i really hope that this will make “cocked and loaded” remotely listenable.

“cocklish”

you sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. awesome.

i wasn’t very impressed with cocked and laoded, but it sounded much better live, and the mixes i have heard on myspace (like gila) do sound better than the original tracks.

As someone who learned to love “Cocked and Loaded,” I’m very much looking forward to this.
But what I really want is a new Cocks album fronted by Josh, or a live cd of the last tour…

I am with you on this one. I think “Cocked and Loaded” gets better with each listen. I also agree that Josh was amazing live and I think has the level of charisma needed to front the Cocks. If he doesn’t front a new album it will be a minor crime.

I am happy about the remixxx- pre-ordered. Probably not everyone’s cup of tea but I thought cocked and loaded had some good stuff so I am curious to hear the remixxx.
