thanks! I’ll keep my eyes open. really hoping to score a ticket hopefully at face value (I’m a broke mofo) , if anyone here happens to have a ticket open up let me know!
My goal tonight is to get Chris to hop into the photobooth with me at the Elbo Room. That is, if my friend hands over my ticket in time…
still scavaging for an extra ticket. maybe I’ll come across one tomorrow. would love to hang out with the prongs crew again!
I’m stopped at the worst Carl’s Jr ever on a drunken munchie run and my notes from the show go like this:
Awesome to see filthpig again. Sorry my friend and I didn’t give a proper goodbye. Hope you got your pics in the phone booth!
Without a doubt the worst crowd I’ve ever seen. Me and a cute fat chick were the only people that were getting down, although I wasn’t sure if I was smelling her B.O. or Chris Connelly’s (I’m positive it was the woman’s)
Speaking of Chris Connelly, I felt pretty star struck talking to him. Total gentleman though, and I felt bad that he had to play for such a shitty crowd and that I didn’t bring enough for a vinyl. Very similar experience to the En Esch show a few months back and that had a better crowd.
Also met up with a friend I hadn’t seen since high school. Great catching up with him and I hope it leads to some kickass music in the future.
And now I’m on the bus home and cannot wait to pass out!
Liar…
I did get Jason and Les Initiales C.C into the photobooth with me!!
They said it was a refreshing change from everyone requesting a selfie.
Jason and I talked about how the venue didnt have their shit together with the sound and visuals but did during Severed Heads.
I was upfront and could take out my earplugs during Cocksure and clearly hear Jason’s hands on his bass strings, more loudly than the music.
However, he REALLY impressed me during their set.
And it was megacool to talk with him about Coldwaves and Chicago.

Those lucky bastards.
Looking forward to the show tonight. So Chris is out and about before or after the show? Is he mingling in the crowd or at the merch table? What kind of merch does he have?
Btw hope you find a ticket sean. Check stub hub or ebay

Awesome! Sounds better than my conversation, though I did thank Chris for letting me yell “A S S ASSAULT!” one time into the mic.
Yeah DJ, that sucked about the girls B.O… In fact she was standing next to filthpig! She was cute too but wound up in the arms of some hipster looking guy with a beard.
grmpy: Yeah Chris was hanging at the merch table the whole time. They had a couple shirts, the KKEP (apparently all of them have a fucked up track listing), Corporate Sting on cd, and vinyls of both TVMALSV and TKO Mindfuck.
Did you guys introduce yerselves as yer prongs handles?
Just met connely he signed all my shit (revco, songs for swinging junkies, cocksure and the book) he was super nice. A true gent. Too bad he doesn’t post here anymore

Goldfish don’t sell themselves, you insensitive prick.
Cevin Key is about 3 feet away from me by the bar. I did see he had RSVPd earlier.

Without Sympathy shirt, on the couch with two friends on the bar side, standing up right now, with a beer
Great show!
Hung with the Prongers tonight. Met up with grmpy (again) and Prototype SKB. Even Tenohtwo was there!
Bailed before Severed Heads though. Have an early flight tomorrow.
It brings a tear to my eye to witness two prongers about to meet for the first time.
It usually takes place in slow motion and there’s a Barbara Streisand song playing.

Except he did bring me flowers!!
We only got a quick "how do ya do? and “nice to meet you.” cause it was mega loud in there.
As acid cripple mentioned I hung out with him the whole time as well as with Mrs. Acid cripple and Prototype SKB and Mrs Prototype SKB. This is my second time time hanging out with both of them and it was great. Just a really good time. I wouldn’t mind going to shows with the prongs crowd all the time.
So, Apparently this club is 21 and over and they check ID’s no matter how old and decrepit you look . Not only that but they match your ticket serial # with the name of who bought the tickets. So that created a bit of a problem because I brought my buddy who’s about 3-4 months away from being 21 and they would not let him in. So, I had to figure out an alternate route for him to enter the show. After a bit of Magellan like planing and map making Alternate route established and executed flawlessly. I introduce him to Connelly who was happy to see him and congratulated him on getting in.
So we were only milling around outside for about 30 minutes before the show started. Cocksure went on at 11 so we made our way inside watched the show rocked out to the tunes. Connelly’s still an excellent front man. They played Guilt speed and carbon easily my favorite of the night (and just overall favorite from the band). Silicon suckaz, assault on Cocksure 13, skeemy gates, KlusterFuck Kulture, and (I think) TKO Mindfuck and 2 or 3 off the new one but since I just bought the new one at the show, I’m not familiar with their names.
We only stayed for Cocksure. I didnt want to press our luck with havin’ the “youngin” in the building, plus I didn’t really want to get the club in trouble. Although I really don’t know how that’d work seeing as how Red Robin lets toddlers in their bar, but whatever.
So, said my good-byes and we headed for the exit made sure not to make eye contact with the guy working the door and bolted for my truck and we were out.
Just an overall good time was had.

Sounds like Gunnar is rubbing off on you.[/reply]
Yeah, haha, i actually thought to myself as i was strategizing the entrance rout that this was a backstage plan tbat gunnar could get behind. But then we actually pulled it off and i thougt “well not quite, gunnar wouldve gotten caught.” Lol
This guy doesnt drink or do any drugs but i understand they dont care cause anyone would say that. But he really doesnt so they were in no danger of having a minor under the influence. It was a great show. Hope connelly does more dates out here. He said he has no time to post on boards anymore as hes super busy. I told him i understood but itd be nice if popped back in every now and again. But i think he really is soured on this place.
