Going to see cocksure tonight. I will post my unprofessional and lazy impressions after.
Anyone else? Lets meet up and touch ourselves.

I really wish I was going! Everyone involved with the project seems pretty excited about it… Def let us know how it was…
…and I just saw this posted on facebook… just passing it along:
"Attention: the Cocksure EP, t-shirt and various sundries will be available on the Cracknation site at 10AM CST.
Please AVOID Amazon, as they have a bad version in their system, working with the distro to try and fix. thank you."
Just bought the digital e.p. via Paypal, but I haven’t gotten a download link yet…
EDIT: got it. Assault on Cocksure 13 is the winner.
Got the cd and they threw in a download code. The title track is mixed a little different than the cold waves version, it’s longer and I’m not quite as irritated by the chorus now. The b-side is pretty damned good, the remix of KK is fantastic, way better than the original. The remix really does have an old Wax Trax sound to it. The remix of Guilt, Speed and carbon (another album track I’m guessing) isn’t very good, sounds like Chris singing on a mediocre Chemlab track.
Overall he EP is well worth it IMO.
Also the cover is better than that vintage art they had as promo, which looked very nuRevco.

Just bought the CD and the shirt and I didn’t get a download code. just a big middle finger from Connelly[:)]
Ordered this CD and shirt today. Looking forward to it.
Ordered it!
please take all of this in while keeping in ming the haze of inebriates in my system(s) at the time.
set was pretty great. they played 5 songs. Opened with a song not on EP, guilt speed & carbon, KK, some song where chriss kinda just talks about walking around new york with cocaine running around in his brain, and the last track was alos not on the ep, but i dug it. picked up a shirt/cd combo for 15 bucks.
novak played bass and sang backup and ran the backing tracks off a laptop with visuals. there was no screen behind them, just a black sheet, so it was hard to really see the visuals much, if at all, but on the last song there was a really cool colored box pattern that gave me faint eyeboners. there were a few times during the set where chris would really start the strut about and command the crowd, who were all really into it. i saw alot of people recording stuff so some crap will probably be on the youtubes.
side note: caught the band before cocksure, called the chandelliers. not industrial by any means, but i dig them. it was like zombi or a guitarless goblin crossed with a much more funkified kraftwerk, then half the time you add a bunch of 80’s synth lines (super thick and low end shit too) and percussion while some dude does his best to get chicks to throw their panties onstage.
i dig weird shit like that though, also they ran a projector. their visuals were a processed camera feed of them preforming, with near seizure induced visuals throughout. it was a really cool effect.

That sounds super intriguing, and I managed to find a video of them, but holy shit that’s a hard band to google. Lots of shitty bands called The Chandeliers.

i was actually doing some digging after i posted this and found some free downloads. it’s super weird. the track “half in whimsy” is what i was talking about with the panties. like, the dude kinda made sex with my ears, and i don’t know if i liked it. but i guess i did in a buffalo bob sort of way.

Finally got my download code today. Downloading it now.
Listened to it about 3 times so far. Good shit.
I’m happy people are digging it and it’s not just me that thinks its good. With the last Puppy album, youth Code and this, I feel we are getting a bit of an old school industrial resurgence, and that makes me very happy indeed.
Yeah, due to all the mentions, I recently picked up the Youth Code album. Holy hell it’s good.
Nice to get some good old school industrial.
I’ve listened a few times too. Agreed, I’m digging it. Ordered the T shirt too.

Yeah, Youth Code are amazing. They’re great live too. You’re in LA so there are plenty of opportunities.

I agree. My wife doesn’t like it, but I think it’s killer good.

They are opening for Combichrist here in April. Not a big fan, but I might have to go anyway.

I think Aesthetic Perfection is also playing that show, so I’ll probably hit that too. Youth Code alone will be worth the cost. Plus if you ditch out on the headliners you have a nice early evening of it.
