Cocksure live review from a Facebook friend

The real story here is that multiple! people showed up for a Cocksure show and that Chris was able to collect enough aluminum cans to travel outside of the Chicago area.

As far as the audience response…who goes to see Cocksure and expects to see a good show? [crazy]

While I can’t stand seeing people with their phones up the entire show and the need to document everything, I do wish some people had the ability years ago.

There are tons of local bands that I saw around here in the early-mid 90s that were spectacular and put on amazing sets. No one had any cell phones back then, so there is no live record of any it. (unless the bands themselves filmed it) Would be nice to be able to go back and re-live some of those shows.

To use another analogy: it’s like Bill Mosienko from The Chicago Blackhawks. Dude scored 3 goals in 21 seconds in 1952. A record that will most likely never be beaten. But there is no footage of the event. Sucks.

But to get back to the point, put your damn cell phones down.

This “review” sucks and your friend is a jaded bitch. The end.

Yeah, your friends decided to go full retard and live review a show on their shitty little phones for the rest of their FB like-o-phants to slurp up. And a really, really, really, really shitty review at that. Your friends may not suck all the time but they sucked for a period of time between then and now.

Help them out, tell them to put the fucking phones away during the show and they might accumulate some cool points in life.

I had to comment, I can’t stand the fucking cell phones at concerts. Many a fantasy of slapping the fucking things out of the hands of people in front of me.

They’re gay for tweeting or FB’ing at the show, but I found the live report pretty entertaining myself.

Meh, the only entertaining aspects that I could cull from that garbage were picturing Run–D.M.C. on stage with Cocksure for a horrific rendition of Walk This Way and a merch booth overstocked with My Little Ponies.

I like how these dudes take giant gold chains seriously.

their set was pretty good IMHO, saw them once before and I thought that performance was a bit better sounding, and since it was a smaller venue the whole “2 dues on stage w/ backing vids” worked out a bit better. GUilt SPeed and Carbon was really awesome, klusterfuck kulture was pretty cool even though i think the chorus is cheesy, the breakdown after the chorus is super fucking wax trax revco sounding, and even with a sore throat connely was able to really belt out those crazy shrieks and screams. Plus they ended their set with Cattle Grind, which was glorious.

I’d like to call out front 242 as being very entertaining but also kind of frustrating. I enjoy their sets, they play music from their whole career and are very energetic and interactive with the audience, good visuals, etc. but often i can’t tell what song they’re playing until halfway through because they are different mixes or the familiar parts are buried under a bunch of new, thick, hazy electronic sounds. Hearing them play U-Men is awesome, but having it sound like a low grade remix is kinda a let down.

they were still awesome, though.

That’s great!!
I can’t stop listening to the CD it’s great. Guilt speed and carbon is fucking awesome! Surprising Ay don’t eat meat bitch is great too. With a name like that I wasn’t expecting much, but beak beakity beak is catchy as fuck!

Must pick up the album, I really liked Klusterfuck Kulture.

Speaking of ST, this had me pissing myself laughing:
