listening to this brings out the cool sound he had in 1982. His playing approach was very different than the norm. He played in 3/4, 6/4 …shit like that.

Very sad. I know TNOTB was my and many others entrypoint into the Maiden-verse and with how much personality you hear in the drumwork on those songs (The Prisoner, Run to the Hills) I was a little put off to hear how streamlined the approach was on successive albums. No disrespect to Nicko, ofcourse.
