I actually don’t like it at all. I think it’s one of the worst covers I’ve ever heard. I just wanted to let everyone else talk shit before I piped in. Thank you very much, Slap Nuts.
It’s horrible. They took a truly menacing, hypnotic groove and turned it into treacle.
There’s a lot of commercial hype over Chvrches…they have even entranced done underground music fans.
They supported Rezillos here in Edinburgh for the Hogmanay Street Party. Rezillos blew shit up…Chvrches not so much.

“The Bones Of What You Believe” was the best pop album of '13.
This cover is fun. You humorless misanthropes probably hate the Scissor Sisters version of “Comfortably Numb” too.
Oh, and it’s far better than the Peter Murphy/Trent Reznor/TV On The Radio cover from the '00s. Now THAT was some suckage.
I like it. Its a cover that makes the song their own. This isn’t their best song, but it’s still a fun b-side cover of a song you wouldn’t expect the band to cover.
