Chromeo’s a lot of fun, esp. “Fancy Footwork” - which I can’t get enough of. I didn’t know the band consisted of an Arab and a Jew - now I love them even more!
Do you listen to Cut Copy? They’re my favorite of the current crop of indie-electro dance.
I like Cut Copy a lot actually (and also Luxxury). Cut Copy were just here for a show and then a DJ gig at some after party, and it was a great set. I can’t get enough of Chromeo either - Fancy Footwork is a great album.

Talking of this indie-electro scene that’s been huge for a little while now, I went to see Mstrkrft at a club here a couple of months back and was impressed at how well they spun and mixed songs. Probably some of the best DJs I saw. Someone made a snippet of the performance.

I saw CC in Minneapolis on my birthday and was really impressed by how much they put into the set. From listening to the album I’d assumed they’d do the standard electronic rock band stand around and play schtick - not at all - they were engaged like hell. Stage was stormed with dancing mayhem at the end of the set. I wish they’d done a DJ afterparty here.
Haven’t heard Luxxury, I’ll track them down!
