I’m curious as to how it’s going to sound. I love some of Connelly’s solo stuff. Some… not so much…

I’m curious what direction he’s going with on this one, and if perhaps David will have anything to do with it.
It sounds pretty cool so far. He’s got a bunch of indie Chicago folk working with him, and some of it was recorded in the woods, or in a cabin or something. I like his stuff, but I’ve felt like the past few albums have had a same-ness to them. This one sounds different and neat.

He has been in a bit of a slump since the first Bells album. Don’t get me wrong, there have been some decent moments here and there, just not a complete album.
I’d like to see him go back to something with more of an edge like he did on Phenobarb.
