All versions of that song are by the Blackouts. The version from the 7/14/83 show was done by The Blackouts opening for Ministry. No Al on it whatsoever.
I love chip beef and gravy!
SOS?

Never tried SOS. They had it every morning in the Navy and it looked like vomit so I never tried it. It’s probably pretty good but I wouldn’t know.[/reply]
I always thought SOS was just chipped beef and gravy served on toast. Am I wrong?

Okay, thanks.
HAHA!!! Well . . . here goes today’s “random internet search of the day” . . .

Same thing, it seems.
Hmmm. I wonder how it tasted in the Navy. Oh well.
Anyway, the only thing better than chipped beef gravy is fatback gravy and bisquits. I keep telling my wife to learn to make it. I haven’t had it in years.
I watched one of those Good Eats shows the other day on the Food channel (it’s the series with Alton Brown where he shows not only how to make stuff but explains the science behind it) . . . . it was all about GRAVY. Granted I don’t cook, but the show made me so hungry for gravy.
fuck i love SOS. my grandfather made it for me since i was little though so maybe its an acquired taste.
and yes, it’s chipped beef and white gravy on toast. mmm!
