Would that guy like the winner to take a photo of himself bending over while he PayPals him? For fuck sake, it’s a shirt. I’d rather spend $18 on an iron-on replica. If the guy thinks it’s that rare, he shouldn’t bother with such a high starting bid, he’ll get his money. [Translation: I’d buy it if it was cheaper]
maybe i read the description on the ebay page wrong but i thought it said judy garland
Sorry Porkspam I wasn’t trying to be hostile towards you or anything . It does say Judy Garland in the description, and now that I dug it out and looked at it, I can see it does look a lot like her. Pretty surreal if it is. Still this guy should have put a starting bid of at least half that amount if he wants people to seriously bid on it. Jeezus I can remember paying $16 to see Ministry live now a t-shirt costs about twice that at a show.
not to sound like an ass, but the shirts i have could fill anybody’s closet. the ones i’ve liked got lots of use(abuse). That’s a compliment to the bands.
it was fairly disheartening the other day, going to a junky thriftstore and listening to these two fatass women talking about how they sell shit on ebay.
i’ve been scopin’ out thriftstores since i was @ 16. many years ago. makes my work harder now, depending upon where i am. on the other hand, the fatties looking for ebay crap are uneducated, and don’t have the keen eye. guess i’m safe?who knows.
what was the mistake on the kmfdm shirt? they I think take the cake, next to metallica, for the most band shirts.
Aye, and I think Pop Will Eat Itself is the only band to sell more T-Shirts than actual albums with all those catchy designs and slogans which is a shame.
I ordered a Buck Satan t-shirt a few weeks back from a seller in England. I waited and waited, being told all the while that they were having problems with their printer so eventually had to change my order. Was going to get a Land of Rape and Honey t-shirt but I thought chatting up girlies with the word ‘rape’ on me front might not go down too well with they not knowing about Ministry puns. Im too considerate and PC for me own likin.
Now if there´s anyone else out there with perhaps a Twitch 85-87 era t-shirt, besides the new album print or the “Stick-Men” model?
BTW, I´m always on the lookout for the classic Burning Inside t-shirt with the b/w print on RED shirt. Anyone got a pristine condition size adult small-medium for sale?
this may be overkill, but i can track down my few shirts and take a pic as well if people want to catalog the items for the ministry site? it may be interesting to see all the old artwork etc? just an idea.
then again brandtrax probably has most all of them and maybe they’ll end up on the wax trax site sooner or later anyhow.
I do have a huge number of old Wax Trax! shirts, and yes, they will be photographed for the site eventually. This is a time-consuming process, however, so they probably will be one of the last things to go up.
oh i have 2 of those… they gave those out to the kmfdm feild reps when xtort first was released
Cool. I wasn’t a field rep, I was just gonna buy an xtort shirt because the artwork for that album was fantastic and the shirt looked mad tight. I was at a head shop thumbing through several of them for my size and noticed that just one said that on the back and it happened to be my size.
They should have given out apologies when Xtort was first released.
Hey-o!
that is still a good cd… not to split hairs… though it was quiet different from nihil, it kept things moving along in some sort of direction instead of just another of the same. and rules kicks ass
I really liked how kmfdm had a central group and a revolving door of helpers… but not quiet as extreme as pigface in the difference of members… then they broke up and came back and settled on the same people and now they’re just another band
An artwork archive is a cool idea, and with a lot of Ministry stuff not released on Wax Trax! I think it would fall ouside the scope of Brandt’s excellent website.
