Probably been answered a million times so apologies in advance.
With regards to the proposed live albums on Ipecac from 92, 96 and 99, does anyone know if they had specific shows in mind or was it meant to be a mix (a la Sphinctour, Adios…)?

I dont think anybody really knows. My best guess is it would have been complete shows. Ala official bootleg kinda thing
Shame it never happened. I have some bootlegs of the 92 tour and they sound ferocious, while the 99 shows would have been cool to have.
Years ago, Allmusic.com briefly posted a list of songs for something called Live 92 – which was connected, on their site, with Ipecac. The titles and song lengths corresponded exactly to the “Kill For Kicks” bootleg (also known as “Los Angeles 92,” I think), which means one of 2 things:
Al was considering converting existing bootlegs into profitable product, the way many bands say they’re going to and never do. Which is also in line with Al’s history, which has him presenting other people’s work as his own (even due to outside interference, a la the Reznor-Supernaut Fiasco). But it’s initially HIS work. So this whole kind of Ouroboros (the worm that eats its tail) thing is going on, and I can’t, because I ran out of Tylenol.
Al’s set for the 92 tour was so rigid that every song was the same length every night, resulting in two albums worth (Live 92 and Kill For Kicks) of live material.
So, yeah.
Weren’t these all slated for release on the Sanctuary label? It’s been so long I can’t remember.
I think Sphinctour was a result of this idea, could be wrong.
It was Ipecac…don’t remember much more than that.
