Because we all know that the world needs another fucking thrash record…
Ministry is worth jack shit without Barker.
Phew!! So you’re sticking up for me. For a minute there I thought I was going to get yet another unwarranted caning.
Sure, Barker’s vocals and bass playing were only so-so at best - but I was really commenting on his production skills and his skills as an arranger. He obviously had his shit together. Just listen to Ministry before Paul and after Paul and you’ll see what I mean. The music was and is now very basic and lacks the depth and innovation that Paul brought to the band production wise.
His simplistic bass lines, sub-par vox…he never seemed to fit in to Ministry for me. His two moments that had some sort of quality were his bass in Linger Ficken’ Good and Power Of Lard.
Yeah, I guess you should have been consulted in the first place regarding Paul’s inclusion into the band. And to think they went on to create such sonic ‘disasters’ as Rape And Honey and Mind.
Pffft…and all along we assumed they were good albums. How blind we were.

Thanks for the heads up, fatso!
wow. I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen something positive from you about ministry. i’m impressed.

see that I can agree with. His skillz at producing are top notch.
I downloaded Caliente last night and I can’t see what all the fuss is about. Sure, it’s hardly life changing but it’s a darn sight better than just about anything off Houses…And the inclusion of Mr Gibby Haynes here is a much needed respite. He has found his calling in life, as frontman for the Cocks. I wonder why it took so long. His addition breathes new life into this corpse, with a personality that seems permanently skewed it is probably the only possible outcome. It’s a great track and should hopefully bring some new fans into the fold. If only these kids would quit listening to 50 cent and try something a little more refined. I wonder then if this is the standout track on the album and exactly how many songs on the new album include Gibby…?

I often envision a world where retarded r&b will no longer be “the shit” and good music will be the cool new thing, but then I realize, LSD is a hallucinogenic, and a lunatic senile cokehead redneck is our president, so I smoke a bowl and go play Soul Cailbur 2 or 3.
Also, I hope its mostly Gibby and Jello doing vocals for the RevCo albums, Phildo sucks mean cactus balls. whatever happened to Groovie Man fronting for RevCo? I nearly wet myself when I heard that idea floating around.

Yeah, you could say that Gibby has given new life to the Cocks. And being well over 6 ft, makes him the biggest Cock ever I believe. A resurrected Cocks unit is definitely something I’d wanna stroke.
