I’m praying Friend of the Devil actually has good singing and not that ol raspy thing
I suspect you’ll have to listen to the Bridge School version for that.
I’m guessing this one’ll be at 140 BPM with Al shouting the entire time like all the other covers he’s done over the last 5 years.
I actually expect Friend of the Devil to be pretty close to the Bridge version which is a straight cover. I even expect it to be a little more “country” than the last version.
Hmmm i wonder howmany covers are on here? Jeez he’s been supposedly making tracks since '96 even there was talk of session going on for a min. after animositisomina complete with track names so i bet PB played on alot of those i wonder if that stuff will see the light of day? So, Gerda would you be okay with asking Paul about how much stuff he played on for this? thanks
“The Only Time I’m Sober’s When You’re Gone” was written by a band called Hartsfield who really only had a following in Chicago in the 70’s. They’re pretty obscure. The only reason I’ve ever heard of them is because they’d play at various teen dances, etc when I was in high school. I wonder how Al heard of them. He hadn’t arrived in Chicago yet, I don’t think. It just surprised me to see that.
Well whether it’s on 13th Planet or Cleopatra I think we should be patient and let them do their thing. They are hard working folks and put a lot of effort into producing albums (it may take a long time but it’s worth it). Even if we have to wait another year I’ll be delighted as the end product will be wonderful. I hope they work on a remix album as well, especially if it’s Cleopatra, they are bosses when it comes to remixes. Cleopatra, Queen of Sex.
