Super troopers was my first one…the beginning was so fucked up and strange…had to watch that part a couple of times. Just watched club dread…not too bad.
Broken Lizard in general…The jokes are hit and miss…alot of misses but some scenes are pretty funny.
Very hit and miss. There’s always a few laugh out loud bits, but mostly i think they’re terrible. Saying that, though, i will never forget the line “It ain’t a party until someone breaks the hot tub”
I’m a big fan of the guys, but it’s frustrating that they can’t string together some solid comedies.
I love Super Troopers and Beerfest. I go back and forth on which one is the best. ST is more quotable, BF not far behind, and Cloris Leachman is awesome. Killing Landfill and bringing in his twin brother at the end was the worst idea in that film, and totally unnecessary (they should have let Landfill drink his way out). Club Dread is barely watchable (the nudity helps), but it has a few funny moments (Paxton is good as Coconut Pete). Puddle Cruiser - barely a film, and their first - is awful, and Slammin’ Salmon, which we just Netflixed about two weeks ago, was very disappointing, I hardly laughed.
They’re allegedly making a sequel to Super Troopers, which will take place in the late '70s. They will all play their dads as cops, or something along those lines. I smell disaster, but they may be going with a familiar storyline just to win back some of their fans. We’ll see.
I think everything 1002 wrote is right on the money. I haven’t bother with the slamin salmon. Beerfest though is easily #2 when compared to Super trooper.
Super troopers is clearly their finest moment. Heffernen wrote that script and the 2 people he calls chickenfuckers were his parents!
Comedy!!! Love that flick! The shit with the fast food guy is easily my favorite bit!

It just wasn’t funny to me. Plus it just seems to promote ppl to be alcoholics and I don’t agree with that. But hey that’s my take on it. I don’t expect anyone to agree with me there
