I think Vince Gilligan is smart enough to pull it off…I think there is more mileage to get out of the Saul character…it would be wise if they rarely reference the WW/Breaking Bad world, though…
Well,it’s happening wether you want it or not…They green lighted ‘Better Call Saul’ today…it will be a one-hour show and will be a prequel to Breaking bad…

Damn way to keep up with this. I’m not sure how much involvement Vince has in this. I think a separate writer and producer were the ones pitching it with the support of vince. But yeah hopefully it doesn’t end up like “Joey” or whatever that friends spin off was that lasted like 3 episodes.

I think it will be good…I like the idea of a prequel…
Bob is one of those underrated guys that you can really throw anywhere and he’ll work the shit out of it. Probably biased though since I’ve enjoyed the things he’s done since Mr. Show. He’s a funny guy and a creative one at that. Give him the ball and he’ll run with it.
And since it happens before BB, does that mean we get Mike back?

Completely agree…I am a huge Mr Show fan and I loved his recurring role on Larry Sanders…also great at writing and stand up…and I love the movies he has directed…The Brothers Soloman is criminally underrated…

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!
How does this show consistently top itself? That was, from start to finish, the most intense, depressing, dark, enraging, episode I have ever seen from any show.
Fuck Jesse, fuck Walt Jr., and fuck Marie and Skylar. Idiots.
… and now it’s really the beginning of the end. Walt’s entire world is gone, family, most of his money, “friends”. All thanks to Jesse being an arrogant, loud-mouthed, mopey, little bitch.
I havn’t seen an hour of television that riveting since J.R. Ewing got shot!
It was awesome.
That was one of the toughest hours of television I may have ever endured…
I think I breathed like twice during the whole episode!
SPOILERS obviously
I knew Schrader was gone but it was still sad when I hear the gun go off. He went out like a Boss though. “This guy made up his mind ten minutes ago how do you not know that?”
One thing I can’t fathom is why Skylar said anything to Marie. She shut the fuck up against Hank and Marie multiple times but this time Marie shows up with some wild story about Walt being in hand cuffs and she falls for it hook line and sinker? WTF? how come today she didn’t have a wait and see attitude?

Yeah, she flipped real fast…
you know a show is really good when you have to step back a bit to process it…
I can’t believe they were able to work both of those betrayal confessions to Pink into the script.
fantastic!! the little kid two weeks ago and his girlfriend tonight.
I never saw the sopranos, but I know all about the ending of it and I hope they don’t pull some shit like that for the ending here.

SPOILERS:
That episode also made me really hate Walt Jr. The stuttering fuck calls the cops and says Walt pulled a knife on Skylar??? What the fuck, you lying little prick? I to wanted beat him with his crutches right then and there.
I’m not sure if I’m supposed to feel sympathy for some of these people and despise Walt. If so, it’s all having the exact opposite effect on me. I want Walt to go out guns blazing and everyone else to just die.
And Jesse got fuuucked up pretty bad (his face was almost reminiscent of Gus’… except with a lot more skin still attached to it, of course). But I suppose that’s what happens when you get into the drug business, start slinging and cooking the purest and most popular meth in the market, and then stab your partner in the back and rat on him to his brother in law who happens to be part of the DEA.
I just watched it and I’m fucking stunned…that was the most relentlessly fucking intense hour of programming I’ve ever seen…I’m stressed out…I gotta get my head together…

As he called the cops, I couldn’t help but think “you ungrateful little prick”. Skyler pulls a knife to him and actually slashes him, and he still defends her. Granted, the loss of Hank is hugely responsible for this outcome.
And Jesse got what he deserved. Nobody likes a rat. Not in that business. My guess is that they won’t be killing him, and I guess will keep him locked up like an animal, forced to cook meth for a few months…
The interaction between him and Walt, when he realizes Jesse is still alive and being held captive… And how Jesse will react when he sees Walt. It’s going to be intense. Possibly more than the encounter with Hank and Walt in the garage.

I think it’s solely based on Hank. The only person Walt Jr looked up to more than his dad was Uncle Hank, and now he finds out/thinks his dad killed him? Yeah, the knife was just his excuse for calling the cops.

I don’t see Pink as a rat. I know he is one, but it’s much more accurate for me to see him as desperate. I think Pink was running out of ideas/options for really hurting Walt back. Had there been any other options for Pink to hurt Walt I think he would have exercised them, but Pink alone and desperate, took the only road he felt he had. And he did so reluctantly, he didn’t even want to work with Hank.
My guess is that they won’t be killing him, and I guess will keep him locked up like an animal, forced to cook meth for a few months…
I think this was the plan the whole time when Todd said he couldn’t find Pink and that he probably ran off over the ravine during the shoot out. Todd probably knew he was under the car and was planning on taking him/coming back for him to make him cook for him, so he could learn how to get the quality up.

I have a feeling they won’t see each other again. Plus we don’t currently know how much time will have passed from the time Walt got in the van to when the story picks back up. by the time the story picks back up Pink may already be dead, or may be suffering from Stockholm syndrome and be all all tatted up with swastikas and shit; full on neo-nazi for the sake of his survival and brainwashing…
either way, though, Walt is a condemned man. Walt’s a man without a future. No hope = no fear.
