Got together with some old friends during the Holidays. First time we had all been together in nearly 24 years.

Would you mind telling us who’s who? Second from left is Stevo, correct?

Very cool that you guys got together after such a long time. Thank you for sharing this.

nice
That’s quite cool! Now all you guys need is a singer
very cool…that’s for posting the pic.
Did you play “More Than A Feeling”?
When was the last time any of you 4 had a conversation with Al in person?
Just curious to see if anyone has any real respect for what Ministry is doing now.
Do you have an update on what everyone is up to these days? Aside from spending all those royalty $ courtesy of Mr. Jourgensen and otherwise living large
Yeah sure. I work in the Loop for a major aerospace company. Stevo, after years of lucrative engineering work, lives in rural upstate NY and has his own label. Brad is on the R&B circuit out of Boston. He said he played 315 gigs in 2007. Mark is an editor for a large metropolitan newspaper.
Everyone seemed fit and happy. Mark and I are the only ones married with kids, though none of them are younger than 15, I think. At least mine aren’t. My younger son, who’s 17, was along for the trip and took the pic.

I’ve seen Al a couple of times in the last handful of years. Stevo last saw Al when he (Stevo) was engineering for R Kelly at Chicago Trax 10 years ago or so. Nobody really keeps in touch with him though.
Respect for the music that Ministry recorded after WS? Well, sure. Who wouldn’t. Nobody had anything but good things to say about Al’s musical sensibilities. Especially LORAH and Psalm 69. But we didn’t discuss Ministry a whole lot. We talked more about old Blues and C&W and roots music than we did Ministry.

Hope he does a better job than the last guy named Stevo to have his own label…

Tell me you four didn’t at least mention, in passing, jokingly doing this? Come on… I’m dying for it!
Thanks for posting the pic. Looks like everyone’s healthier and aging better than ol’ Al is!
But really, if you guys could get together one more time (maybe at Stevo’s studio?) and bang out a funky one-off track done exclusively for us Prongers it’d be the stuff of legend!
Or, hell, just play Primental & Walk in the Park-don’t need a singer for those-and let Bisquit post 'em here!
P.S. Bob, are your sons into current Ministry and/or nu-metal or more into the classic stuff? Just curious. Here’s to another reunion, hopefully in less than 24 years!

We didn’t. My son, James, was the 5th person in the mix that day, we did tell him that he would have to substitute for Al. We had lunch down the street from the First Act guitar shop so James and I spent some time in there plucking guitars off the wall and I noticed an autographed photo of Al. So at least an image of Al was nearby.

I might visit Stevo this summer, perhaps we’ll play a little.
Our sons listen to Tool, A Perfect Circle, Chevelle, Isis, Mastodon and some powerpop/punk stuff like Riot. Neither listens to much classic stuff either. They think that OK Computer is classic stuff. [;)]

Maynard from Tool was in the (aborted) Tapeworm project with Trent Reznor. Reznor was in 1000 Homo DJs with Al.
So you’re only 2 degrees removed from one of your son’s favorite bands! That ought to impress the lad!
…and Al Jourgensen was in A.I. with Jude Law, who was in Closer with Julia Roberts, who was in Flatliners with…KEVIN BACON. It’s unavoidable.
Wrong game, I know.

Did they try to rip it and burn it, but it just withstood it all?
And did you say, “Hey!”
