Bob Saget is gone!

Never a full house fan but damn that guy was a staple of the late 80s and 90s.
funniest thing I remember was him in Half Baked when he was at rehab and asked chappelle if he ever sucked dick for weed cause had sucked dick for coke and the dude next to him says “I seen him do it!”

so Long Bob Saget.

He was hilarious and actually super filthy. I always got a real kick out of the dichotomy of this dude that we all knew as the G-rated quintessential “America’s Dad” on “Funniest Home Videos” and “Full House” also being a really snarky and dirty-mouthed mofo off court. He and Norm MacDonald were really good pals so there was often crossover when I’d be following Norm stuff. Rest In Peace, Bob!

Man, I loved norm. I’m surprised I never saw any of their crossover.

He talks all about this moment elsewhere, but the story was that there was a roast for Bob Saget and they invited Norm to be part of it. Norm really loved Bob and didn’t particularly care for the current trend of roasts where people are just as nasty as possible and didn’t want to be mean to his friend. So instead of ripping the guy to shreds, he decided to intentionally bomb the set . . . in the most Norm way ever.

Norm found an old 50’s joke book with shitty “roast” one-liners and just copied a bunch of the worst ones. The audience had no idea what the fuck was happening.

Collie Flower. LOL
Only Norm can make bombing funny as hell.
Man, the world lost a giant.

Saget and Norm and Artie Lange are all in the movie Dirty Work… Question: who would have thought Artie would be the last man standing of those three?
Answer: Nobody

“Who fires their slave?” (oops that was screwed) I don’t think I ever saw Dirty work)
Crazy it’s Artie still standing.

Surprised you haven’t seen Dirty Work, grmps…although maybe you did and don’t remember…it isn’t a great movie by any means but it does have some great gags and great lines in it…
And the Don Rickles and Chris Farley cameos were pretty memorable…

Thank you for reminding me.
I’ve actually still not seen “Dirty Work” either. It’s one that I’ve meant to pick up forever and always forget about. Gonna check Amazon now.

Yeah, I’ve seen it available on netflix or one of those streaming apps and always mixed it up with screwed thinking I’d seen it. You could be right, I may have seen it and just don’t remember it. I’ll know once I start it. I’ll try to give it a shot soon.

“What ya gonna play?”

“Street Fighting Man!!! E Seeeeeeven!!!”

There’s music cues in Dirty Work that have played in my head. Ever since I first saw it in the theaters.
Ill always remember.
His comedy special(s) were around during some more darker times for me. It’s too bad. Only just the beginning of the year…
