Actually, Eternal Optimist was recorded in 1980 or so, around the same time as Men In Motion. Vortexes has a note in the crefits saying it was recorded in early 1979. So these were pretty early for their time. Don’t know that they really stand the test of time, but they’re cerainly interesting. But don’t doubt Roland’s skill at penning a song. He’s got sole writing credits on Make No Mistake, and that’s some good stuff.
