Good songs, but he should mix up the order more. That '00s material really drags things down when it’s all in a block like that.

I was thinking the same thing…but still this is a step in the right direction…there was a time when I figured I would never hear another Dark Side track in a set much less two…and anything from Filth Pig seemed even more impossible…
I don’t care for festivals either. But this one was super small compared to something like Chicago Open Air.
This was more like a fairground fest.
Except no fried Twinkies.
I thought the size was perfect. Big enough to be “something” but still small enough to not be everything I hate.
Even without phones we were able to find each other just by walking around. And because it wasn’t packed shoulder-to-shoulder you could see what was going on around you at all times.
I hope it stays the same. I know they WANT it to be bigger and more organized and all that, but for me it was absolutely perfect.
I liked the low-rent shitshow aspect of a lot of it (no, not the restrooms, sorry). It had a really cool DIY (yeah, I said it) punk rock vibe to it.
Love DIY fests!!!
No phones?
Cell reception was absolutely nil. It was like being back in the stone ages.
But yeah, I was still able to find friends easily.
The complete lack of phone reception was probably the most often heard complete and it pissed everybody off. But some of us think that actually made for a better festival because instead of being glued to their phones people actually were forced to talk to other people and have a social experience in real life.
I’d be totally OK if they put signal jammers at every show.
That sounds refreshing…
The biggest problem was for those of us depending on Uber to get back to the hotel.
But, still figured it out. Old school: Buy your friend a beer so they’ll give you a lift!
Yeah there was a time when all of us old timers got along without them just fine…I yearn for those days…

HAHAHAHA!!!
We got a ride back too . . . let them sleep at my room.
