Former BLACK SABBATH keyboardist Geoff Nicholls died this morning after a long battle with lung cancer. He was 68 years old.

I read there were a few occasions where he managed to make it onstage but they were very few…almost always off to the side or behind a curtain…he even played some rhythm guitar…the guy is on every Sab release from Heaven and Hell on…pretty significant…

Maybe I’m trippin’, but I thought he was onstage with them when I saw Sabbath around '95/'96 . . . it was the tour for “Forbidden” and also had Tony Martin, Cozy Powell, and (maybe my memory is fucked on this too . . . but I THOUGHT we had Geezer on bass for that show even though it was Neil Murray on the album).

Anyway, I don’t get a lot of people that side with me, but I actually think “Forbidden” is a great album. And Tony Martin is so fucking underrated it’s not even funny.
