The four original members of the band, Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward, will all be in attendance at the press conference, which will take place on Friday November 11 at 11.11am (PST) in Los Angeles.
The announcement will be made at the Whisky A Go-Go on the Sunset Strip, the same venue where the band made their Los Angeles debut on November 11, 41 years ago. The event will be hosted by Henry Rollins.
Does anyone know if Ozzy is still sober nowadays? He was an embarrassing mess the last time I saw him with Sabbath (2005 - San Bernardino).
ive seen ozz at least 5 times, and each time (with sab or solo) he has sucked. he just doesnt have the power to do it live anymore. and his last two solo albums… eeeh… that being said, i like just about anything with tony playing (even the later day sabbath stuff, mostly) so if its a new album, the music should sound nice…
and geeze is the fucking man. up their with burton and harris as far as fave bassplayers in my book.
also, a vegan, so its always nice when the home team has a killer player on it haha

Geezer is a vegan?
Also, Black Sabbath - please do not reunite. Your history is soiled with enough embarrassments already. Give it up. Go take up lawn bowls or something.
I heard fairly recently that they were releasing a new album with the original members. I assume the announcement is a date for its release and dates for a fairly small tour. Unless of course they’re announcing that they’re changing their name to Honky Sabbath.

That being said, a lot of the triumphs completely overshadow the embarassments. You have to be a real follower to know about those.
Same applies to Ministry. A lot of my friends who loved them back in the day are surprised it’s (technically) still going and I prefer not to fill them in on what the current output resembles…
As long as Ozzy keeps selling out shows, it’ll never end… He sounds lucid on disc, but live, he’s a zombie. Amazes me how he can sound all “together” but when he does interviews and so on, he’s just completely gone.
I saw him in '97 on the Ozzmosis tour. The first half hour or so was fantastic. I thought This is going to be incredible. Then he seemed to just coast along for the rest of the show - losing interest and mumbling the lyrics. Not sure what the fuck happened. He didn’t even bother singing the last verse of Iron Man. Just sort of spoke the words.
