Yeah,he has gotten back together and has his own radio show now…he does a kind of sports/comedy thing…he has been back out on the road and has hosted a bunch of comedian’s specials…he seems to be doing well…still not looking like the bastion of health or anything but he is doing alright it seems…his book “To Fat to Fish” is a great, quick read that gets in to his life growing up and his life in showbiz…extremely funny book…some very touching moments about his father as well…I read it after my father died and it was very heart-wrenching yet therapeutic…Artie’s father was a handyman and he died after falling off a ladder…Arite always blamed himself for not being there to hold the ladder and that guilt is something that seems to have plagued him his whole life and has been the impetus for a lot of his self-destructive tendencies…but anyway, glad to see Artie back standing upright
Wow. I never followed any of that. I like Artie a lot (and I must admit that part of that love was his openness about his trainwreck tendencies). I hope he gets it together and perseveres again.
I had long stopped following Howard at that point. the only reason I know anything about is because it made the news a few years back.

I listened to him back when I still lived in california. And when I moved here (louisiana), I learned that no one, locally, carries him on any of their stations. Maybe Baton Rouge, or New Orleans, but not here. I watched his show on E! until that got canned. And I never saw the point of investing in satellite radio. I don’t even listen to regular radio…
