Howdy!
Does anyone know anything about a RevCo song from the “Big Sexy Land” days called either “Fish out of Water” or “Fish in Cold Water”? There is a youtube clip of a solo Luc Van Acker performance, but I recently went through my Ministry archives and found a tape of the Revolting Cocks performance. Unfortunately, is is less than a minute of the song.[:(] It is Luc on vox, a pro studio recording, and sounds like it was meant for “Big Sexy Land”, as I was told by the person I got it from. I would love to get the full version.
Before anyone asks, I will gladly share it once I am able to transfer it from cassette at my friend’s studio, when he has time for me (hopefully this week!).
MY HOLY GRAIL:
Once, at Wax Trax, Sean played a cassette with a totally different mix of “The Angel”, from Twitch. It had different vocals and kind of rocked out. It was not the slightly different version as heard on “Twitched”. Any one remember/have that track?
Sounds interesting. The Revco track could easily be a BSL outtake. In an interview just after BSL, they claimed to have 5 or 6 songs already done for another EP. Most of that was probably scrapped once R23 left. Could easily be one of them.
The version of Angel could have been around the time of the summer 87 tour. They reworked several tracks including a slower version of All Day and a faster versionof Angel. There really were all sorts of tapes of outtakes that made it through he Wax Trax store. So many of them are probably lost to the ags. I’ve really only ever found one - the one with the Halloween demos and Wait that I shared some of a while back. Wish some more would surface.
