Pizza has to be pretty awful for me to straight up reject it, and even shitty pizza is pretty okay in my life for the most part, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone list Little Caesars as a top choice, haha. It was one of my favorites for a long time, not because it was great, but because it was $5 for about 20 years! I think their “Hot N Ready” is like $7-$8 now (been a while since I’ve had one), which is still okay, but kind of defeats the purpose since I can get Dominos for $7 each with their eternal online takeout coupon, haha. And, no, I’m not saying Dominos is amazing either, but my wife likes it better than Caesars.
I can’t really think of any chains that wow me.
NYC blew me away with how easy it was to get amazing pizza everywhere.
I’m not some finicky local, but it seemed like I could just stumble in anywhere and get great pizza that puts the rest of us to shame.
Does anyone remember about 10 years back when Chuck E. Cheese’s was trying to make a big push about their new hipster “gourmet” selections? I guess they were trying to appeal to the grown ups who had to take their kids but weren’t into the horrible food, but I don’t know . . . . I’ve not been to Chuck’s in probably over 30 years, but I don’t think I’d even want an attempt at good or creative food from them. I wouldn’t trust it. Don’t try and be something you’re not, Chuck. If I come visit you, I know what I’m in for. Let’s not make it weird.
I can’t remember that particular Chuck E Cheese campaign…last time I was in one was the 80s…which is a good thing considering I have no kids haha… I remember pizza that was unspectacular but not inedible…all my other memories of the place are lost in a haze of various video game screens…
Side note:
That pit that holds all those plastic balls is where you will find all the feces…Ive heard horror stories from someone who used to work at one …
Speaking of… We passed that corner pizza joint today, the one we always eat at in anaheim after shows or after namm (I think it’s on harbor?). I know that pizza is shittty but damn i tastes sooo good after hours of stomping around music vendors or concerts
HAHA!!! I’m never quite sure what day the pizza I’m eating there was actually made. I like it, though. Has great flavor, but a bit of a shoe-leather texture, haha! It is funny that our crew always ends up there. I don’t even know the name of it. I refer to it by the same as you do . . . . that place across from Disney and the Convention Center that we always end up at.
