Real FZ book is a great read…read it many times long ago…
I don’t think I bought even one new album from 2012.
As for movies, I ALMOST saw a sneak preview of “Avengers” but bailed when I saw they were giving everyone a security pat-down before entry (I was trying to smuggle in beers).

This was probably after the shooting during The Dark Knight. The guy with all the pipe bombs in his house.
It was a pre-showing of the “Avengers” movie and I don’t think it was at all for safety concerns. I’m pretty sure they just wanted to make sure (and they were specifically telling people they needed to check their phone in or go back and put it in their cars) that idiots weren’t filming the screen bootleg style either to make back-alley pirate DVD’s or to put spoilers up on the 'net.
I hardly went to any gigs this year and saw only a handful of films - none of which really blew me away. The Master was good but just short of “greatness”.
I really want to see Moonrise Kingdom - but suppose I’ll have to wait for the dvd.
Best albums:
Swans - The Seer
Liars - WIXIW
KTL - V
Evoken - Atra Mors
Om - Advaitic Songs
Swans - We Rose From Your Bed With The Sun In Our Heads
Napalm Death - Utilitarian
John Zorn - Nosferatu
I only bought a couple actual “new” cds this year…
Babel -Mumford and Sons
Relapse -Ministry
Apocalyptic Love -Slash
Jello Biafra -Shock-u-py
Didn’t go but to two shows this year. Ministry and Mumford. Ministry was great for the company I kept. and mumford was great because it was my 4 year anniversary with my wife and the show was great. the guy has a superb voice in concert that doesn’t translate on the CDs, which is fantastic because his voice is already excellent on the cds.

He’s STILL doing this?
It is so tedious. I think I’d rather pull my own intestines out from my rectum and choke myself with them.[/reply]
Oh yeah he’s still going strong. Lol. Couple songs are really good though. He teamed up with D.O.A. again and while they’re not as good as anything on last scream… they’re really pretty good. The whole guantanomo school of medicine project has been the closest thing to a dead kennedys album sine the dead kennedys.
