Best Live DVDs?

i love popping on a good live dvd. hate it when they cut to the next shot every 2 seconds and you can’t focus on anything. what you guys got for favorites?

Ministry - Sphinctour(obviously)
Isis - Clearing The Eye
Secret Chiefs 3 - Live At Great American Music Hall
Critters Buggin - Get The Clacker Valve and Old Clobberd Biscuits Out and Smack the Grand Ham Clappers Mother: Live in Warsaw, Poland
Primus - HallucinoGenetics & Les Claypool - Fancy
Zappa Plays Zappa DVD

Pink Floyd - Live at Pompeii. Somewhat pretentious albeit equally fascinating look at the band pre-fame. Some good behind the scenes looks at the brainstorming behind the Dark Side album too.
Skinny Puppy - Ain’t It Dead Yet
Einsturzende Neubauten - Halber Mensch. More of a performance film, enough live dubs to include it.
Metallica - Live Shit: Binge & Purge. The Damaged Justice 1989 disc. Worth the price of admission.
Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense. Can’t recommend this enough and I’m only a casual fan.

Yes. These three. Plus the Melvins’ Salad Of A Thousand Delights and Butthole Surfers’ Blind Eye Sees All.

Sigur Ros - Heima
Nine Inch Nails - And All That Could Have Been
The Cure - Trilogy
Marilyn Manson - Dead to the World

i forgot about Pompeii, that’s a good one. watching Pelican’s As The Ceiling Cracked tonight. i need to check out the melvins & butthole surfers ones, also jesus lizard.

Nirvana- Live at the Paramount

this was recorded just a month after Nevermind came out, on film, and looks beautiful and sounds great. this was just a few months before they really became popular, so you can just feel the electricity in the air during this show.

The Jesus Lizard DVD is utterly insane.

Nobody’s mentioned ICYDFLSU yet.

Live at Pompeii is great.

Pigface - Glitch/Son of a Glitch videos are cool. Don’t watch the Free For All video though. It’s crap. The slow motion death rattle of Invisible Records on the road. It really makes you feel embarrassed for everyone involved. PLUS they are so focused on the drama of the tour falling apart, that you hardly get any footage of them actually playing. Yuck.

Fugazi- Instrument

Deftones - Music in High Places has it’s moments, mainly the acoustic bits.

I forget what it’s called but there is a Queen show on Netflix which is quite good.

Psychic TV - Black/Joy

Nobody’s mentioned ICYDFLSU yet.

Because it isn’t a DVD.

A bit of a travesty, but what can you do? If WB doesn’t want to put it out, it doesn’t come out.

I actually wrote about it last night and claimed it on a technicality since Grumpy made me a DVD burn of it. I guess my post didn’t go through, though, so let me repeat my others as well.

AC/DC – Live at Donington (circa 1991-92 from the “Razors Edge” tour)

Iron Maiden – Rock in Rio (2000, I think. From the Brave New World tour)

Elvis '68 Comeback Special – If anyone doesn’t realize yet why Elvis is the King of Rock, they need to see this concert. It’s totally badass. I’m not kidding.

Is this the one where he’s in the black leather jump suit?

Mayhem - European Legions
Led Zeppelin - The Song Remains The Same

Yeah! That’s the one.
Check out the opening track (“Guitar Man”) . . .

never thought I’d dig Elvis but that’s very impressive, especially for the 60’s

No, seriously. I was the same way.
My friend’s girlfriend brought it over one night when I was in college. I was like, “Are you kidding me? We’re gonna watch this crap?” But I was immediately hooked.

Crazy to think that that special is 45 years old now.
