Robotron flat out. Smash t.v. as a 2nd.
I couldn’t play it for a damn, but I really liked Dragon’s Lair as a 7-8 year old. 50 cents to play. So, I didn’t play it often.
MOON PATROL and TEMPEST for me.
I’d rather play pinball everyday, though.
Rampage was my game.
Same here on pinball…really liked gorgar.
Defender/Stargate & Tempest were my arcade games back in the day.
Oh, fuck yeah! That one was a blast!
I always chose the Wolfman.
Other games I played the absolute shit out of include KUNG FU MASTER, KARATE CHAMP, LIFEFORCE, INDIANA JONES IN THE TEMPLE OF DOOM, TOP GUNNER, TOOBIN’, SPY HUNTER, and IRONMAN IVAN STEWART’S SUPER OFF ROAD.
Rampage, Gauntlet and Galaga were my holy trifecta. Pinball too. Still love pinball, though I don’t play much these days
Gauntlet was so awesome when you had a crew working together.
We could go hours on that shit, barking at each other and yelling for help and whatnot, hahaha!!!
Joust and Arkanoid were 2 I became obsessed with for a brief time there…
“Wizard needs food”
Paperboy
Burger Time hahaha
“…Badly”
Oh, shit yeah! I played the fuck outta Arkanoid. I think I was terrible at Joust, but the sound effects were so awesome.
Hahaha I was terrible at Joust also…it was the most frustrating game for me and that’s why I got obsessed with it…it drove me fucking nuts though…
Arkanoid I actually got really good at though…that was a different kind of obsession…I almost mastered that god damn game and it took me a shitload of quarters to get good at it…loved that game…
Tron was my go to game if i wanted some playing time for my quarter. Tron has to be my #2 probably with Arch Rivals coming in 3rd i was pretty good at arkanoid though
This stuff is well before my time. But luckily there was an arcade in town in the late 90s when I was a kid that had all sorts of old arcade cabinets. Got to play Galaga and Tyson’s Punch Out and a Sega motorbike game ( the name eludes me right now) which had a big ass bike you could hop on and lean to the sides like a real bike, it was engaging as hell.
Nintendos arcade punch out was different than Tyson’s punch out… the sega bike game was Hang On. I liked both of those games too
Haha! Was gonna say the same! You got to sit on a little half-a-rice-rocket thing which was pretty rad. I don’t remember ever getting any good at it or even enjoying it much, but it was a really cool console that I’d always find myself sitting on when I was a drunk-as-fuck teenager.
