It’s pretty sad when Al J’s music announcements are more reliable.[/reply]
Primitive race is actually more reliable with releases

Looks like this is the album cover. The release date may be November 17 (same day as the new Godflesh).

I’ve actually heard the full album and it’s pretty good. Glad to see it’s finally coming out.

Is the album that they streamed over a year ago the same one they’re planning to release soon?

I believe so.

And Primitive Race have released how many albums in the time that it’s taken this one to be released?

Album by ministry in early '18… album by b.i.m. in early '18… wonder if their releases will coincide, heh.

Gonna buy the digital EP on nov 17, I think. I hope “ordinary fascist” doesn’t represent the overall sound of the record, then I will be a bit disappointed, I fear. Only track I’ve heard so far, was not blown away by the version that’s been on YouTube for quite some time… but I’ll take my chances :stuck_out_tongue:

I listened to the EP earlier. It’s decent, but really ridiculous that we’ve waiting so long for it. Chris Connelly told a friend of mine that these songs had been done for quite awhile 2 years ago when Cocksure toured with Severed Heads. Now I highly doubt we’ll see that Bells tour that sounded promising since Chris and Paul have RevCo going again, and with Paul about to be busy with Lead Into Gold.

Yeah, decent about sums it up. Nothing really great, nothing really bad, no sharp edges along the way. A bit too safe in comparison with Ministry, RevCo, et al, and too little adventurous / not weird enough compared to Lead Into Gold or Flowering Blight. I’m still planning to get the album, though. Best tracks so far are “Your Crime Scene, My Career” and “Machine Gun Odessa”, despite the latter’s textbook industrial approach.

Here’s an interview I did with the full band: Barker, Connelly, Lee Popa, Brian Diemar, and Toby Wright.

I read this and it was superb. Insightful on a few diff levels.

If i had to venture a guess, I’d say 50% of albums are recorded remotely now-a-days… in the electronic scenes atleast.

Thanks, Jimmy.

I suppose lots of music is done remotely, but I kinda miss the days of a bunch of musicians and artists in the same studio creating something. I have no proof that it’s a better process, I’m just old school like that.

I listened to the album snippets a few times on Amazon hoping that I could find something good to say about it.

I like how you ended with that statement.

Album & remix album are up for pre-order now:

I don’t know if I mentioned it before, but a friend sent me the full album, and it’s pretty damn good.

What did you think of the EP? And how does the album compare to it, better, more of the same, or…? Haven’t heard anything from the album, but I’ll probably end up getting it. Loved the artwork!
