intro sounds good.

I wonder how long it will take for Rey Washam to leave some copypasta on that Blabbermouth article.

I’m sure Rey could give 2 shits about Al…just a thought.

I would have thought so, too, until I saw the comments on these articles: http://noisey.vice.com/blog/ministrys-last-stand-brings-al-jourgensen-from-beer-to-eternity

I suppose it could be a very dedicated troll, though.

Yeah Rey’s bitching. Basically the same thing as not giving 2 shits. Al’s a thief…yeah we heard that many times.

Sin’s solo’s pretty good, but he’s no Mikey.

I sort of question them putting up the outtakes of them screwing up the solos. They did that with Mikey too. I guess they don’t care, but I personally wouldn’t wanna be seen to be fucking video.

The video’s slick and the songs sound alright. Should be a decent album. Al’s demeanour is totally different. He looks like he’s actually taking charge of the situation, giving directions and not just lolling about wallowing in his own crapulence. Spose he figures he’d better give a shit, since this is effectively Mikey’s farewell to all of us.

I agree, he actually reminds me of AL from ICYDFLSU. and I didn’t really see Sin as fucking up the solo it looked more like he was noodling around trying to create a solo. but I know nothing of song writing so I could be way wrong.
To echo other posters I agree about the intro music, sounds good.

Late,

Good point about the solo… still, he just ain’t as fast as Mikey!

I hope the video intro song is actually on the record.

^ Yeah, if that’s a song on the album I might actually give this album a shot.

It would be really nice for an album I like to come out under the Ministry name. It’s been a while.

Told you. . .

The intro music is probably part of “Hail To His Majesty,” the first track of the album, since that’s what the sample around 0:50 says.

The “I hate all you motherfuckers” line sounds a lot like the “I’ll kill all you motherfuckers” in “Stupidity,” the song Al made with Front Line Assembly. And then the lyrics to this one are “you stupid… you stupid…” Coincidence?

yeah… this intro song sounds deadly, like the Ministry i want them to be. haha. i wasnt really into Permawar, but this is strong… i will be giving this one a fair chance, that is for sure.

The intro sounds like a remix of Hail, is that the track Sammy remixed for this release?

i dont get the boner for that ‘intro’, nothing special… even slipknot has such intros to their first and second albums, so what’s the big deal.

No one’s fast like Mikey! Gotta say, that video made me optimistic. Al seemed pretty legit. Maybe it takes a dead friend to put things into perspective… Sin sseemed in pretty good form as well. The drums make a huge difference as well. Usually, the opening tracks are top notch (minus Ghouldiggers). Don’t want to get my hopes up too much, but it appears to be better than Relapse.

The vocals/lyrics are going to make or break this one.
Even Relapse is actually pretty cool, musically. The new wavey intro of 99%ers fools me every damn time. It sounds so sweet until he starts with the shouting.

Not that we know of. The CD has remixes of “Permawar” and “Thanx Bu No Thanx” as bonus tracks, and the LP has a remix of “Punch In The Face.” So if this track is a remix (which I agree is possible), it’s likely not on any physical release.

What’s the story on the CD version with bonus mixes? Is it only through the box set? 'Cause I’d like the mixes but I don’t need the coffin and all that junk.

Same deal as with Relapse: there’s going to be a jewel case edition with no remixes, and a limited digipak edition with the bonus remixes (but not the same bonus remix that is exclusive to the vinyl, in this case). The boxset doesn’t have exclusive tracks, it just contains the same digipak edition you can buy separately.

It wouldn’t be surprising given the past few Ministry albums if there was an additional exclusive remix on the Japanese edition, but I haven’t seen anything about that yet.
