Battlestar Galactica (2004 series)

Anybody here got any views on this show? I’ve never watched any of it but was thinking of picking up the box set. I’ve read some things online that were encouraging; seems to be a smart show that non-nerds can appreciate, solid acting, and intriguing storylines.

Any views?

p.s. this girl might be enough to make my decision:

Blondes Mmmmmmmm

Pretty good show I’d say. Im currently on Season 3. It starts out really intense as you’ll see, right off the bat they get thrown into war with the cylons which is pretty kickass, dont wanna give too much away and spoil it.

In seasons 2 and 3 it starts to get a bit religious, buncha talk about destiny, Gods and junk that kinda kills it for me but very good series despite that. Def give it a shot. Some of the CGI I gotta say looks terribly outdated, but if you dont really mind that you’ll be ok. The Raptor fights are pretty awesome too, when the fleet has to face the cylon threat, you’ll definantly dig that.

The first few are the best, but it stays good all the way through. We watched the whole thing in about a month or so. Most of it goes pretty fast.

dig it.

Started a little while back. But, I only watched a few episodes. Not a bad show, but I just kinda wandered off.

Frack off

Yes, please remixxx the crappy 80’s sci-fi shows.
Battlestep GaLochtica

Can I get some Dub Rogers too?

BSG was good, but the decision to milk it a bit turned into mid-season (3 & 4) filler which was mostly garbage. Razor was pretty decent.

And yes, 6 (Trisha something) is plenty enough reason :stuck_out_tongue:

Good show, great at times, the mysticism towards the end of the show got a little silly, IMO. It’s worth watching just for the battle scenes and the performance of Edward James Olmos. I thought Razor was great too, love me some Michelle Forbes.

Ben Cartwright RULES!!!

Best sci-fi serie in my opinion.
A complete serie with an ending seem rare these days.

Holy crap! I didn’t realize the Lorne Greene photo I posted was life size. That’s ridiculous.

Fantastic show. Keep in mind, however, that even the creator didn’t know where it was going, and in trying to be cool, edgy, weird, or whatever, they wrote themselves into corners towards the end of the run. There are a lot of threads that lead nowhere, and it even succumbs to the classic tv problem of “disappearing characters” at one point.

Still, it was a show with some interesting perspectives, the likes of which we won’t see again for some time, I’d bet. Highly recommended for many reasons, despite my criticisms.

I was probably the only one sad to see Caprica go, I’ll admit, but Blood and Chrome looks pretty promising…

I was probably the only one to think that you were actually gonna hold up your end of the bargain with the Flashback CD

I’ll admit…

That you’re a thief and a liar??

that would be a start.

I’m a “thief” and a “liar.” If we’re just going to throw random words at people, let’s try “baby rapist.”

At least it has a nice ring to it.

No cause they need to be true. I don’t know if you rape babies but I know you are a liar and a Thief.

Your madness is so thick, I think I want it inside me.

Still willing to work with you if you think you might ever be able to calm down, of course. In the meantime, please stop ruining everyone else’s threads. Common courtesy, bro.
