Entertaining as hell. And yes “Corrosion.” Nice to see that cut get the recognition it deserves.

It makes me sad that people are this stupid. Where is the love for the “Barker Trilogy”?

They just wanted Ministry to remain the pounding formulaic 4/4 drums and fast riffs with industrial samples.

Experimenting and evolving their sound doomed the band.

Now we have shitty political buttrock because Al tasted the dollars from 69 and, upon sobering up, wanted to reclaim the cash flow he could have been reaping all along had the band played it safe during the late nineties/early 2000’s.

Oh, and does anyone else hate when people say things like “useta”

Filth Pig has the best art design, especially the liners.

Lame.

Agree w/ voidhead.

Also, I think Corrosion is the only track on 69 that is similar to the material on FP. For the cartoon to hail Corrosion then rip on FP makes no sense to me.

I wouldn’t call the material from the 90s “safe”. DSOTS is a “safe album”? Filth Pig after Psalm 69? Animostisomia? Yeah maybe. But not the late 90s.

C’mon, these aren’t supposed to be taken so seriously. I like half of the bands on his list, and found them amusing. Try reading a few more, like R.E.M., Psych Furs, and Skinny Puppy. The guy is just having some fun.

Well said.
I’m thinking “these guys are taking this comic strip VERY seriously!”

Comics are serious business.

comedy hurts. but it’s still fuckin’ funny.
corrosion is an awesome song. grace is awesome. al had little to zero involvement with those two.
i useta like ministry too.
i useta like NIN, too.
i useta be a punkrocker, and here i am, trying to provide an historical perspective.
some bands i have liked over the years, i still like. not many. that’s the life.
i still like kmfdm probably because they keep doing something at all new. i still love chris. but then again i’m biased.
i usetalike lamb of god, but eh, not sure anymore.
i’ll keep my checklist of who’s in and who’s out to myself.
i am always thrilled to be nudged awake about a band or singer who makes your hair stand on end. believe it or not, the first live beck show did that for me. and pretty much nothing else since. but these things go in cycles, and btw, i can’t stand beck anymore.
