Bandcamp money goes 100% to artists today

So if there’s anything you’ve been wanting to get from there, today’s the day to do it.

Of especial interest to this group is the Sacred Bones Black Sabbath tribute comp. Thou does “Supernaut” and it’s really a cover of 1000 Homo DJ’s cover:

Also, new Cocksure EP via Bandcamp today!

I saw they were releasing a new one but I didn’t know it was bandcamp. I wonder if they’ll do a physical release. I’d rather have that.

What happened with that Filter release? did it get delayed? I haven’t heard anything about it and I could use some new Filter. I’m stuck listening to bootlegs.

are you playing a guitar or is it a synth?

Filter? The album they were working on was lost in the PledgeMusic disaster.

What is/was that???

Thanks
Edit:
That seems dumb… They can’t release it on some other label? Kinda makes me think they didn’t make it and are using the collapse as an excuse. There are other ways to release music…hell band camp at the very least.

Guessing the problem is that PledgeMusic kept the funds, so they never had the money to record it. So nothing to release on another label or Bandcamp.

I suppose that could be it, but in the article Acid posted it said they were going to instead extend Title of Record for the 20th anniversary. Where are they getting those funds? I’m sure being in the business they are in they definitely know some people with a home studio so how much would it cost really to record it?

PledgeMusic bankrupted a number of artists. Ogre lost a couple hundred thousand $$$ because of them.

and by the article you posted they totally got away with the scam and didn’t have to pay anybody back. assholes.
Wonder what happened with L7 and their lawsuit. a quick google shows July 31st 2019 is basically the last mention of it.

I lost $300 due to that bullshit. I had pledged to a few campaigns.

That sucks!! So much for trying to help out your bands. At the very least they could do something nice for their fans that contributed on their next tour like maybe a meet n greet or something cool like that. I’m sure they still have their ledgers showing who contributed. I’ll pass on a remix album from Filter. That shit’s cool for a single or an EP but seems kinda worthless as an LP. Megadeth’s Rust in Peace cured me of remasters too so that’s definitely out as a purchase if they ever decide to go that route.
