SO Prime Minister Rudd has been stood down (by his OWN party no less) and made way for socialist sycophant Comrade Julia Gillard. I thought they were convinced this Dudd of a PM was the Messiah. Sure sounded that way. “Kevin Rudd will represent the Labor Party at the next election. He is the best man for this job in Australia” we were told. Now he’s been hung out to dry. What happened then? Seems we were being misled the whole time. Kinda reminds me of Soviet era Russia in the 1980’s. All secrecy and misinformation. How did we let this happen? Who voted this mob in? What the fuck is happening?

The party who pushed for reform in the health industry which amounts to little more than a reshuffling of funding and adding another layer of bureaucrats to an already crumbling system.

Kevin Rudd (K Rudd, Krud, The Krudster) was treated like a popstar when first elected. He was all image and ego; all image and ego and uselss slogans and flowery rhetoric. He had the majority of Australia eating out of the palm of his hand with his pretty boy charm and choir boy persona.

But time has outed him for what he really is; a conceited windbag and petulant bully who ran his party like a dictatorship. It was a one man show from day one. His policies were weak and grounded on half truths and empty promises. No wonder so many of them tanked. It’s amazing that it took this long for the Labor party to show him the door as the train derailed at least six months ago starting with the pink bats fiasco. And that was just the beginning.

Glad he’s gone and gone in the worst way possible for him. History will paint him as a do goody goody halfwit with sociopathic tendencies - a dangerous individual whom should never have been handed the keys to the castle. In my 42 years never have I witnessed such incompetance at such a high level of office - and that’s no exaggeration.

Now all we have to do is make sure Julia The Ice Queen is voted out in November.

I’m pretty interested in this too! I mean, I know how US conservatives squandered a 5 billion dollar surplus into a 12 trillion dollar debt, but 25 billion surplus??? That’s impressive… Where did the money go? What did they spend it on?

Where did the money go?

Well… First, they threw billions at flawed policies that were subject to fraud and industrial rorting. They championed populist politics that said much and delivered little if anything. Spent billions on Emissions Trading and solved…nothing. Helped the unions heaps but did little for average joes. Claimed to do heaps for working families and splashed cash around like there was no tomorrow - cash which the previous economically sound government had wisely put into reserve - when instead of splashing cash to all and sundry whether they needed it or not, they could have introduced tax incentives for small businesses or released government funds to assist the long term unemployed and homeless. They spent a billion dollars on creating a ‘green loans’ incentive (loans given out to help household owners make their homes energy efficient) which was dumped before it ever went public and then another billion on a home insulation scheme that saw 400 homes damaged or destroyed in fires and 4 people dead. They spent millions on a Grocery Watch and Fuel Watch scheme which was shelved before it went public. They instigated a 16 billion dollar ‘Education Revolution’ which was essentially a booster for the construction industry with developers charging exorbitant prices to build school facilities whether those facilities were needed or not (ie “Oh you need a gym? Sorry we’re building a portable classroom and at 5 times the price to boot!”). They spent millions and millions on asylum seekers and then backflipped when the situation became uncontrollable.

In short they were a bunch of fuckups with a nutjob ego maniac for a leader who was more worried about his popularity than managing an effective and economically sound budget. This guy just wouldn’t take no for an answer no matter how hairbrained his schemes were and blamed the Liberals left right and centre for not passing his abortions through the senate.

In short - it was a fucking fiasco of epic proportions.

I posted this a while back but I think it bears repeating

Let me build you a scenario similar to what is happening now…

You come home to find your house has burned to the ground.

The little kid next door is in the back of the squad car, matches still in hand.

Child is taken to jail and not in the neighborhood anymore.

The fire is out and what’s left of the structure is still dripping with fireman water.

You proceed to go past the caution tape and wander about the foundation like nothing has happened.

The police and firemen look at you as if you are crazy and you say…

What? The fire is gone now. Why wouldn’t I live in my house?

You know you’re gonna have to rebuild, but you know it’s gonna take more money than you have left. So, you stay in the burned out house for months and get furious when people ask you why you don’t rebuild your house.

You say to them angrily, “THE FIRE IS GONE!!! THE CHILD ISN’T EVEN IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD ANYMORE. MOVE ON!”

The Moral of the story (Only because I know most Conservatives need everything spelled out for them) is that just because the destructive force is gone doesn’t mean the destruction that it brought is even close to cleaned up!
