Auction This

i couldn’t find the list of items. link?

**EDIT: i found it. some stuff looks cool. To find it go to http://www.backstageauctions.com the search for ministry.

Everything is expensive.

Yeah, seriously. Those jackets starting at $1000 and those guitars starting at $5000 . . . . who does this guy think he is, Paul McCartney?

Some of the original lyric sheets are cool. I think the funniest items are the ones that say “Al Jourgensen OWNED” (translation: “Yeah, I’m Al Jourgensen. I owned that stupid pewter dragon claw ring. I found it under the seat of my car and now I’m putting it on auction starting at the unbelievably low price of $150.”)

I also think it’s funny that they are auctioning off boxes of sealed RGB albums. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

And, really, enough with the stupid 666 stuff for pricing and starting bids and whatnot. What are we, 12? Dude, check out this sweet pentagram I drew on my PeeChee folder. Badass, huh?

Just stop it, Al. You need to drop those opening bids a bit if you want any chance of making that stuff move.

If you go into the actual item listing, each actually has a pretty detailed description of its provenance. Some aren’t that amazing, but there are quite a few that have been used on stage or in photo shoots that are very recognizable.

Thanks, Bisquit. I’ll check that out. Perhaps I was oversimplifying my categorizations as they seemed pretty self-explanatory in the headers (some saying “Used by Al Jourgensen” others saying “Worn on Stage” by Al Jourgensen (and certainly, some of those are well known by us) while some had the rather vague “Owned” by Al Jourgensen.

Anyway, that is encouraging to hear that they’ve provided some sort of explanation or documentation for some of these categorizations.

I was really hoping he’d put up a couple iconic pieces that I did not see listed (the checkerboard cop hat, motorcycle boots, his “Burning Inside” cowboy hat, etc.).

Well . . . good luck to any and all who bid for something.

Wouldn’t mind having [url http://www.backstageauctions.com/catalog/1007-ministry-al-jourgensen-1996-personal-sphinctour-jacket/ai/0/11062/]this
but that guy is off his nut if he thinks I’m gonna pay anymore than 50 bucks for it!!
fuck him!

would like to know what the other 2 songs are (or became) [url http://www.backstageauctions.com/catalog/1085-ministry-1992-nwo-slave-original-2-inch-master-reel/ai/0/11140/] here

would love to hear the 1987 lard

There is no way anyone would ever bid on this.
$5000!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

And I just noticed that all the items come with a 13th Planet gift bag and some stupid Mixxxo CD’s or something.

most ministry fans are probably too broke.

most ministry fans are probably too broke.

While I agree with you, it’s irrellevant in this case. NO ONE, no matter how much they make could possibly think that owning a piece of Al’s clothing is worth $5000.

funny how there’s no mention of chris in the acidhorse description.

http://www.backstageauctions.com/catalog/1023-ministry-al-jourgensen-1989-no-name-original-lyrics-sheet/ai/0/11078/

…and it seems like CHRIS signed that at the bottom…and yet Al is taking the credit?

Note to everyone: If you want to see all the items click on the Ministry category link on the left of the page after you start your search.

If you just type in “Ministry” it won’t bring up all the items.

I kind of like the star boots but, even if I was willing to pay the $300 or whatever . . . . why does he have to have such small friggin’ feet!!!

I can’t see anything I’d want to bid on other than an instrument (assuming I had 5k laying around).

On the NWO/Slave reel to reel, is Slave an unreleased tune?

The coffin guitar looks totally sweet. I’d bid on it . . . if it started at $300 instead of $5000 or whatever it is posted at.

kinda like the equipment boxes too!
but I aint forkin out cash like that for a piece of used luggage.

Grumps, you might be able to recoup the costs if you check the linings really closely.

I’m sure a fiending Al has already done that multiple times over![:)]
keyboards for 300 bucks though! that’s a deal right?
I was wondering about “slave” also. Is that an unheard track or was it a working title for a tune we already know?

I was wondering about “slave” also.

Slave: For $40 and a bologna sandwich, Erie Load comes over to your house and remixxxes an album for you.

Interesting tidbit about the Lard songs recorded on May 1, 1987 - if anyone remembers, I believe I Will Refuse as well as At The Top were also recorded on that same date (at least from what I recall in Chris’ 2003 compilation liner notes).

Quite a vast array of different sounds recorded, even for different hats.

…Now I’m just depressed.

What’s “At The Top”?
