I’ve put that TEST Press on to mp3. I’ve left the sound mono. I haven’t messed with the sound at all the only thing I did was put it from wav to mp3. Do you want me to send you a copy for the song of the week?
BTW it had some etching on the inside of the vinyl right before it gets to the paper. It looks liked like someone tried to scratch it out though, it said, from what I could decipher,
WAX 11 13 A Future Disc : O N J 1 A : wax 9086 A (the J is backward on the ONJ)
O N J 1 B : WAX 11 13 B: Future Disc: Wax 9086 B (the J is backward on the ONJ)
I coudn’t tell if the 1’s were 9’s or vice versa so I went with 1’s. Also, there were no : I put those in there to indicate a new ring that info was printed in
what do you mean? label wise or format wise? there is no labels and it was on a Vinyl. Banned lyrics and everything! IT’s pretty cool. Here’s the Ebay link where I bought it:
I followed your link. Godamn SOAB! Only 8 bucks?! And you say it’s the original censored version. Damn! That’s wayyy cool. Hope B follows your advise and hooks us up on this one. Thanks a lot for sharing this rare gem!

Yeah, $8 is amazing. For only 50 made they do seem pretty common, I see one at least 2-3 times a year on ebay. I missed this one though. I hate buying vinyl from overseas though, it usually costs more to mail it to me then it does to buy it. I have a “I wanted to tell her” test pressing from wax trax… again, seems to be pretty common. I want the BS+Q test press, although that seems to fetch a bit more $$.
Hmm… while I’m here. I have Acid Horse on vinyl for sale… only issue with my copy is it has a slight warp… no good for manual turntables, but the last time I played it on an Auto it sounded perfect. (I dunno, maybe leave it in the sun and put an encyclopedia on top of it or something ;)) pm me if you want it anyone…
There are actually 2 or 3 versions of this test pressing. I’ll have to sounge around and see if I can find the breakout of the types.
And I appreciate the offer, but I’ve actually got a pretty good rip of this and the actual cd version from that AP compilation froma couple years ago. Just being a completist…

What’s the AP compilation? What do you mean the break out of the types? according to the prongs site here the copy we bid on there are only 50 available. Of course there’s got to be something to you stopping the bid at 8 bucks.

It’s a pretty nice intro disc for industrial music from Throbbing Gristle up to Nine Inch Nails. Good liner notes (though nothing revelatory). And most notable for having the original version of RevCo’s “Physical (Let’s Get)”.
I picked this up as a test pressing way back when while I was working at an industrial/experimental record store. I already knew about the legal troubles over the song, so it was a big deal to get my hands on it. I remember we specified that my buddy and I each wanted one, and WaxTrax! send copies to the store for us. Ours were in plain white sleeves with no stamps or logos or anything on the label or the sleeve. Apparently some of them had stamps or stickers, so I suspect there was more than one run. I’d like to compare the runoff etchings on mine, but it’s packed away in storage at the moment.
