Revenge!

It’s about time we got back at those damn Indians!

I hate being late to this thread…

My grandfather has te PONG home systm in like 76 or 77 and I wore that fucking thing out…when the 2600 came along it obviously change eveything…and I had all those games…at least I thought I did…because fucking PORKY’S!!! are you kidding me…how could I have missed that…I was a hardcore colletor of 2600 games and I never ever have even seen Porkys…holy balls…

I wore out Pitfall,Missle Command and Superman…played it so much he cartidges just stopped working…

Weren’t the cartridges like 50 bucks back in the day? That’s ahuge amount of $$ for 30 years ago!

I seem to remember them being about $30 for the new games. Yeah, that’s a sick amount of money for 1980, especially if you just blew it on ET.

This commercial seems to be promoting a package that includes 20 cartridges.

I used to LOVE that Casino game.
I remembered it looking a little better, though, hahaha!!!

Robotron and Smash T.V. … period!

Robotron and Smash T.V. … period!

Robotron translated decently . . . or am I thinking of Berzerk? I’m now having trouble even remembering which was which.

Smash TV? That was a badass arcade game, but I doubt it was ever made for the Atari home console. I think I’ve played a NES version, though.

I still don’t get how Atari could fuck up Pac-Man so bad. We didn’t get an Atari until way late in the game when you could pick one up with 50 games for next to nothing at a yard sale…we had Intellivision first. I miss my little box of overlays but don’t miss the finger pain from playing Worm Whomper or Space Hawk. Holding those little side buttons were on the side of the Intellivision controls sucked ass. I recall using clamps to hold those damn side buttons down.

Can’t recall my favorite Atari game, probably Yar’s Revenge. Keystone Kapers and Pitfall were cool too.

I always got Robotron and Berzerk confused…still do…

ZAXXON!!!

Burger Time!!!

There is a site called arcade-museum.com that has every video game ever made…with pix, descriptions etc…the most exhaustive video game site I’ve ever seen…amazing…thought some of you might be interested…

Forgot about this site…thanks!

Impressive site!

And . . . oh, yeah!

I don’t know why the Chinese people at Kristy’s Donuts always gave me and my buddy crap for hanging out playing video games all day. We were their only steady form of income.

very impressive indeed. [shocked]

However, I do collect and restore pinball machines during the long crappy winters here in the Big Mitten. I’m pretty particular about my pins. All are in collector quality or near collector quality condition. I don’t collect junk.

Where do you get the parts to restore them? I have an old Abra Ca Dabra machine. It’s in excellent working condition but all of the rubber bumpers need to be replaced (obviously after 35 years) and a few lights are out.

where do you get your pinball machines? craigs list? The machines you have are relatively new and would still sell for quite a bit.

I used to play the Indiana Jones machine in college. I liked that one a lot.

Wow! Another PB Wizard, heck yeah!!! The mid-80’s through mid-90’s is my favorite era too. “Theatre of Magic” is my all time fave. Other beloved beasts from that time were “Fun House”, “Addam’s Family”, “Elvira”, “Twilight Zone” . . . So many good titles!

Thanks for the links. I’ll give them a shot. Yeah it’s the old 1978 Gottlieb machine. I grew up on Pinball. We used to have a High Hand machine too. from around '74 I think. But it took a dump that not even a pinball tech could fix. so we ditched that one when I was about 10 years old. But I’ve had the Abra ca Dabra machine for easily 30 years.

I’d love to have the Guns n Roses Pinball machine but I’m not about to fork out 2,000+ for a pin ball machine.

I haven’t been to any arcade auctions in years either. I do have a Fooseball Table (Tornado Table).

1200 Sqft house with 5 pinball machines!!! You remind me of a dude I used to know that worked for Midway in San Diego. Dude had a whole house full of Pinball machines in his little house. we used to have poker parties at his house and pinball competitions. It was a good time. Lots of beer and cigars!

He kinda dropped out of view once my Sister got divorced from her husband that worked at Midway too.

Anyway thanks for the tips

I’m tellin’ y’all! Get your asses to Vegas and visit the Pinball Hall of Fame! I’ll be up there March 22-24 if anyone wants to see the Anthrax thrash-fest (sorry, I don’t know the actual name of the show) on the 23rd at House of Blues or just party through the weekend.

Pnball HoF is a must-see Mecca for any Pinhead. And it’s a non-profit organization, so it’s cheap as heck too. My buddy and I bought like 5 bucks of tokens a piece and were there for hours. I’ll put up the weblink again when I get to a PC.
