It leaked. Some of you might be interested in it, due to Burton’s recent involvement with Ministry or otherwise if you’re Fear Factory fans.
Its actually not that bad. I have to be honest I was expecting something rather abominable judging by the EP and the fact that Burton’s singing has become increasingly atonal in recent years (I thought he was quite a good vocalist around Obsolete and perhaps even Digimortal, which is a shit album but vocal performance is ok). The music reminds me of Fields of The Nephilim and Lycia, with perhaps a bit of a Delerium electronic sensibility thrown in. Burton’s provides vocals that are quite unlike those bands though, so it still does sound unique. Its a very laid back, calm and atmospheric album, relying on repeated, ambienty synth/guitar passages. It does at times sound like FF’s softer songs. By no means is this album of the year material but its listenable.
