I won’t be able to see this as I am on another continent, but I thought a few of the members here in Melbourne would be interested in this show.
It is to promote a new 2 disc compilation of experimental music from the eyars 1974-1983 out on Shame File Music.

Browning Mummery (Andrew Lonsdale) is pretty amazing.
Cheers big ears, I’m definitely headed to this.
What’s the go with that experimental music compilation/book on the aussie scene you were working on?
Did you still want me to do those interviews? I didn’t want to hassle you about it coz of your old man, and I’ve been flat out. Once the Kriss Hades gig is done, I reckon it’ll be a goer. Gimme a list of names, and I’ll tape some conversations with a few mates who’d be able to help.
I won’t transcribe em tho, too damn lazy and not sure what is and isn’t worthy of committing to page, will definitely mail the tapes though.
That would be great evil, I’ll make up a list of people/bands I would like to know more about and send it to you. Any anecdotes, tidbits you could dig up I would be eternally grateful for. A lot of the Melbourne bands in the post-punk era shared members so it is hard to figure out who was in what.
As for the upcoming show I checked out Jon Rose on youtube and his interactive violin looks very interesting. this should be a good show.

Oi,
perhaps a catch up for all the Melbourne prongers is in order?
That’s if ye can be stuffed. I’m most likely to be there. Come up and say hi and we can talk about the Unabomber, Bernie Madoff and John Justin Bunting loudly and obnoxiously. Or just say hello.
