I’m not sure if I’m more excited or less excited that it’s a covers album of almost all songs I don’t know.
I was kind of hoping for his version of “Black Betty”. That one has not been done enough.
I’m looking forward to hearing his take on Lord of the thighs
Did you write that, Gunnar?
Did you write that, Gunnar?
Yes.
So, it turns out that the guy who ran “Let Danzig Be A Normal Person Already” was not as enthusiastic about all our awesome jokes as we were. Hence it’s been given the bullet.
Before that execution, though, I started my own group with a handful of the people that were forced into exile.
KEEP ON DANZIG
^ That was pretty cool.

That video was super cool. Her cover wasnt too bad either. Kinda sounded like if mazzy star covered danzig
Yeah! I was thinking of Mazzy Star too.
Glad you liked it.
I’m evangelical about Marissa Nadler. She’s one of my absolute favorites.
You guys might dig this one too:

Nice! I could see her voice and vibe working with quite a few of the slow and downbeat OZZY/Sabbath songs.
Speaking of somber female covers:

I dig this chick, saw her live. She’s awesome. Also covers Nothing Else Matters, seek it on YT
I like!
Let’s just keep posting Danzig songs sung in unique ways https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Snw08Ov9wvY
“Skeletons” is a weird album.
I seem to hate and love it in equal parts.
It sounds like it was recorded on a Fischer Price cassette recorder in their bathroom, but the songs are actually quite catchy and infectious. I find myself humming them all day and needing to hear them again.
“Crying in the Rain” and “Let Yourself Go” are the hits for me, with “Rough Boy” and “Lord of the Thighs” as runners up.

Wow, really? Lord of the thighs? That one is a skip for me at this point. But “Satan” has shot up towards the top for me, as well as “Rough Boy.” The Lyrics for “Satan” really brought the song up for me. But lord of the Thighs… man that first “honey you got to understand …” sounds so flat and monotone it bugs me.
I know what you mean about the recording quality though. It sounds like most were recorded at different times, like waaaaaaaaaay different times, like different gear times, and recording equipment times.
