anyone see or hear ricardo's announcement for the highest officina in the nation?

i laughed out loud listening to el gov’s speech. i live for the day that his personal life gets exposed. arianna huffington is apparently in town, digging around. you go girl.
his “speech” was so amateurish it made my skin crawl. sound bites, and that horrible tie pulled up too tight to make him look like a jock in a suit. OH WAIT. Correct me if I’m wrong, but i believe he , like bush , was a cheerleader. for texas A & M. i could be wrong, but the image remains…

just heard he was in. didn’t pay any attention to his candidacy. I do find it funny that Michelle Bachman Keeps winning the republican debates just behind Perry, even though Perry hasn’t even participated in them yet!!

i swear to god, at one point he said “physical responsibility” in his speech, instead of “fiscal”. George Dubbya redux, people. The only difference being that bush wasn’t all barrel chested and wore clothes which actually fit his frame. oh dear. never thought i’d see the occasion when i would envision bush in a somewhat sympathetic way. watching that current ultimate hillbilly’s speech today, i almost pissed my pants recalling the time when i chased that idiot and his (nearly) all boy posse off of my front deck.let the campaign season begin.

At least Perry & Bachman will bring some laughs (and fits of rage) along the way.

How easy would it be to get a decent Democrat into the White House in 2012… but I guess that’s the problem.

… but wait! A Challenger emerges:

right! got the looks and the dementedly religious gaze.

Interesting. A governor who has threatened to secede from the Union is running for POTUS.

Perry is the anti-Lincoln.

don’t know man. the guy purports to be a family man, and yet his wife threatened to leave him years ago. and then of a sudden she shut her mouth and continues to look like a victim. hope she made out in the deal. i would love to hear commentary from texas teachers who got the shaft this legislative season, because they have hand delivered staffing cuts and some teachers actually lost their jobs.texas remains, i believe at bulletpoint 49 in the education rankings. texas is also at the bottom for adults and kids who are insured. and el gov going on about he has created lots of jobs in texas “good paying jobs”, he better look at the numbers. maybe more people came here to work. but the jobs they found were temp contracts or minimum wage for the most part.

If that’s the case he will be skewered in the investigative portion of “get to know your candidate”

I do like wemps comment though. How many times has this dude threatened to secede? At least 3 that I’ve heard. “The anti Lincoln.” Ha!!

We do need a different person in the white house. It seems he’s maintaining Ws social agenda. He has no backbone. He wants to “compromise” with a party that has no interest in anything other than their own agenda and obstructing anything else.

Obama had a super majority for 2 years of his presidency and did absolutely nothing with it.

Just disappointing.

you know obama will go in unchallenged. and i personally will not vote for anyone else.however, he needs to lean on the good old ghicago “clan” to move things forward. already has bill daley. maybe richie can give some rather inarticulate (but effective) style points.were richie’s wife not ill, he, like his dad, would have been mayor for life, and dad and son were excellent mayors.i recall richie daley and john kennedy junior both taking the bar exam three times to pass.not the smartest in test taking, but richie junior did a hell of a job running chicago and he learned from his dad. obama needs the daley camp and get rid of anyone else who doesn’t deal in dirty politics.not to say the daleys only did the dirty, but let’s level or get above the playing field.

It’s unfair to say that President Obama did nothing. And it’s not true that he had a super-majority of his own party. The Dems would have needed 60 in the Senate to be able to stop the Repubs from filibustering…but they didn’t have it and the R’s filibustered in record numbers the first two years of Obama’s term.

I was under the impression that obama had higher majority #s than bush did his all 8 years.

Not trying to be a dick here, but show me where I’m wrong.

I did know repubs filibustered like crazy but there are ways around that. Congressional recess decisions and what not.

obama needs the white boy posse. he’s afraid to do that because he’s black. schade.live and learn mister president.
