Any of the North Americans in the house seeing Tool on their little Summer (I Guess) tour? Reviews so far seem really positive, and they finally changed their set list a little bit. So I would recommend you go and let us know your thoughts, and I will live in hope that they come back to Aus.
Yeah, we can only cross our fingers and hope.
Maybe oneday there’ll be a dvd to statiate out appetites - they’ve been promising one for ages.
If any band should do a dvd it’s Tool.
Any links to reviews?
I like that they’re playing “Intolerance” and that it’s a more even balance between material from all their albums. I just don’t have enough motivation to pay $70 + unless they’re doing something really innovative this time or have a great opener [:|]
I wouldn’t go see them unless they had new material. The last time I saw them (late '06) they were ok, not great. At Ozzfest '02, that was one the best gigs I’ve ever seen. I’ve never been right since they opened with ‘Flood’. And ‘Reflection’… mesmerised; the visual loop they had was some creepy animated scene in a large toilet/bathroom (at least that’s how I remember it)
I thought I was going til my friend notified me that he was only getting 2 tix. Then I found out the price for myself and Im glad Im not going
Yeah, it’s a bit steep. Looks like my once a year OVERPRICED ARENA SHOW will instead be Deftones/Alice in Chains/Mastodon.
