Soulseek?? It seems no one can browse my files and I can’t browse anybody elses files. It’s been like that for about a month. Has any body else run into this??? Just wondering before I reboot the old computer!

just trying to browse the files of the people on my list. PLUS people trying to browse my files keep getting errors as well. I can Search fine I just can’t browse nore can any others browse me. what the deal pickle?

check out your shared folder access options, maybe you accidently set it to “only people in my userlist”. i think i wasn’t able to browse you until you re-added me again.
also as of late i wouldn’t recomment using other versions of soulseek than the latest (156c) stable release (dont use test versions)

well i have “only people in my list” checked but even those people can’t browse and I’m not sure why that would keep me from browsing their files. PLUS I changed access to everyone and I got the same results. Although I’m not sure which version I’m using. I may be using one of the test versions I’ll check into it. Thanks for the hints

Could be a port-forwarding problem, but seeing as you were able to do it recently who the heck knows. Are you behind a router?

what’s a router?? Is that where multiple computers are running off of the same connection? like a hub? If so, yes I am. How do I tell if I’m behind a router? but would that explain why I can search but not browse?
