How many fucking shows is he doing there anyway? They give him a residency or something? Hard Rock is just about the worst place in Vegas to be tied to for a week.

Just the three nights.

Richard Branson purchased the HRH. I suspect he may rename it Virgin Vegas. [:P]

Virgin Vegas.

Oxymoron

He’s doing 6 in LA now. They just announced 2 more the other day. Again, too bad for those people who waited in line for 6 to 8 hours.

Fucking hell, hahahaha.
That’s actually pretty cool, though.
I don’t like the big arena shows as much as the smaller intimate theatre shows. So if one of the bands I liked split their gigs up into a handful of smaller gigs instead of a big stadium, it would be awesome . . . in addition to a better show experience it would also give me more flexibility for my schedule, haha.

Yeah, I’m curious to see what he does with it.
I’m actually pretty optimistic. That property has been stale for quite some time. It’s in need of a reboot as far as I’m concerned.

They are currently adding on to it a theater for The Voice.

Weird. I’m not sure how I think about that yet, haha.
Where do they currently film that show?

Wonder if they’ll auction off the memorabilia on display or keep it all and add to it.

The memorabilia warehouse is here in Orlando in a location just down the street from Universal.

i would pay to watch trent fight a bear. an actual fucking bear. you can price gouge the hell out of me via stub hub for that too. i want front row. vip. meet & greet, but only with the bear.

I’m guessing they can’t just sell off the memorabilia. That shit goes through quite a process to get into one the Hard Rocks. I doubt they can just liquidate it like that. I also doubt that it actually is part of the property sale.

If anyone knows any detail, though, I am interested to know.
When SAHARA closed, they liquidated EVERYTHING.
It was awesome. You could just walk through the rooms and there were tons of shit layed out on the floor . . . . lamps, casino tables, kitchen ware, furniture, you name it.

I bought some Sahara framed room art and a slot machine glass, hahaha.

And the sale went on for a LONG time.

I’d be interested in some hotel furnishings. How much were the tables going for, if you remember.

I’ve stayed there three times, and all three rooms were configured/decorated differently. The two room suites are pretty nice.

Maybe the record will be a grower, but on first listen I ain’t really feeling it.

It’s long over. This sale was probably around 2012 and the SLS which replaced the Sahara is now about 3 or 4 years old (one of my favorite properties).

As I recall, I think a blackjack table was around $250. If I had a big backyard or basement or something I would totally set up some casino gear.

I saw NIN in Chicago on Saturday…I was pretty blown away by the show…the venue was small(for them)and the sound was incredible…great set list…he did a couple of Bowie covers back to back …I really enjoyed it…I saw Martin Atkins there too…said hi to him and spoke to him for a few minutes…great night in a great city…

Live debut of “And all that could have been.”
Also, he hadn’t played Starfuckers, Inc. in ten years.
