Yeah, there was a reason I didn’t even attempt this one. Love NIN, but I ain’t camping out for tickets, even if it’s at a super fancy small theater.
When I heard about it, I was into it. The Palladium is right down the street from me, so no big deal, I’ll swing by in the morning. And I did expect a line.
But, they didn’t do anything to adjust for the crowd. I would’ve had 10 tellers out there selling these things. But no, as far as I could tell, it was the regular 2 windows.
I think its probably safe to say this practice won’t be making a big comeback…
I just got an email saying the remaining tickets will be on sale tomorrow morning through LiveNation.
Hilarious.
Epilogue:
Logged on to LiveNation this morning and got tickets. No problem and no 6 hour wait. Venue is general admission, so I got perfect seats too!
We also scored a pair to the 3rd Palladium show today.
Going to look around for a pair for the 4th show.
See you in L.A.

HA HA. unreal.
excellent score, brother!
aaaaaaaaaand apparently earlier this afternoon, Ticketmaster opened up more available tickets as well. At least to the Chicago show at least.
Pretty amusing.
What a failure…
4th Palladium show secured.
After a gut-wrenching battle with both Ticketmaster and my desktop computer, I secured a solo orchestra ticket to the second Radio City Music Hall show. Really interested to see how he’s going to tackle the new material.
trent always does something to piss me off so i cant bring myself to buy a ticket to his shit.

That is a cool-ass setlist. I had a great time last time I saw them in '08 but it was a pretty predictable set (“the big hits + a chunk of our most recent album” - the biggest surprise was a handful of Ghosts I-IV tunes as interludes… “Reptile” was a big shock but then they aborted it during the intro because the screen visuals for it weren’t working and just went into the next song). Was gonna try and go to one of these dates anyway but now I’m a lot more intrigued. Just the Numan and Bowie covers would make my day.
Curious that Not the Actual Events is the only major (song-based) NIN release not represented in that setlist.
Yeah, as surprising as that setlist is, it’s also kind of surprising to me in itself that “She’s Gone Away” isn’t there
God Break Down the Door was great live, just not as a recorded track.
Gave Ups sound was more like the Tate House video version.
Cant wait for Friday and Saturday.

During Piggy, the fog machine set off the fire alarm system, taking down the sound from the soundboard and flashing all the white FireEX strobes.
We were all singing to fill in until they got it reset after the first part of The Wretched.

That sounds like it was awesome, That alone would probably be worth the tickets, kinda disappointed I missed it. maybe it’ll end up on youtube
Cool to see that they switch up the setlist a bit from night-to-night.
If people are gonna sacrifice a proper bender in Vegas they should at least have their loyal geekdom rewarded somewhat accordingly.
