Next up on the list for the song download this week was a live version of Animosity. It’s a great live version of the song with Al in high spirits. But then I thought about it and decided that several of you probably already have a version or two of it from the 03 tour. So I decided to throw up the 7" version of Work For Love as well. It’s found only on one of the versions of the Work For Love 7" (The Work For Love/For Love UK 7" with the red circle cover) and features an entirely different version of the breakdown than the Short mix from the 12". I thought it would make for a nice contrast.
wow cool. i wish you’d post dates of the live stuff you share. so if one likes the recording he could probably hunt down the whole boot!
thanks for the stuff.
p.s. i remember in the old days i snatched a whole load of vinyl rips from you, they’re still a blast. made two complete cds!
I always add the date in the ID3 tag of the track. This one in particular is from the 5/15/03 Tampa show. The same guy tapes quite a few shows in south FLA, and does quite a good job.

I have an Arista 7" (actually, it’s a 45rpm) pressed in England with Work for Love/For Love, but it’s a blue circle cut-out. Is this the same one? Even if so, my turntable crapped out on me awhile ago and I would love a decent rip. Awesome.
Don’t think I’ve seen a version with a blue circle. Any way you could scan it?

the tags of the mp3s are empty!!!
(it’s in the filename though…)
THANKS!

It’d be awhile if I can - my scanner’s down, or I would have just scanned the Twitched cover the other day instead of typing all that crap. This is, however, one the two 7" I got off of ebay a while back, so maybe there are pics. I’ll check.
Update: It is the same version of the song - it’s got that “I’ve worked so hard for your love!” bit. I guess they’re just different colored sleeves, is all.
It has the number ARIST 510 in the top left corner on the “For Love” side, and ARIST 510 at the middle right on the “Work For Love” side. Also has an address on the bottom of the sleeve - 3 Cavendish Square London…etc., etc.

Here ya go, finally. Sorry about the shitty quality, but I’ve got a cheapie camera. This is the same version of the song that was recently available for download.
awesome!!! is that a 7"?
Thanks Bisquot. Great stuff as always.

Festival Records? What the hell is that?
is that the work for love mix with the woman and al having that little conversation?
I have a feeling I have that 7" as well… but from memory it had a different label to both of the ones described here… I’ll investigate.
