senor jizzwad, you’re too much.(and thank god i have a break here) i think greenpeace has a rare exception to it’s system of recovering large mammals.
it’s called toxicity.i could be wrong.
Al eats a lot of Chipotle burritos. Loaded with beans. Beans are the most abundant source of the bloating sugar known as raffinose.
Did you know one of those burritos is over a 1000 calories! 1000! I kid you not…
I can only eat half of one.
But why would you go to Chipotle anyway? They make you pay for chips! The giant burritos at Moe’s and Willy’s come with complimentary chips.

totally off topic but… leave chipotle alone!!!
i eat that place at least 1x a week. love it. and somehow all of their employees are mexican which almost makes you forget how unmexican the food is. even without the beans that shit is way high in calories. the rice and tortilla alone weigh in around 500. but its not terribly awful in fat content compared to regular fast food chains.

so fucking good though.
- and it goes chipotle>qdoba>moes. moes meat just doesn’t compare to chipotles. and who needs chips when u can barely eat the burrito? and chipotle is one of the very few places that still carries mr pibb on the fountain (at least around here).

It’s American Mexican (!!!) food but not even Mexican. I ate their once and that was it. It was a very bland taste. The people who eat it here in Chicago are transplants from Iowa who are generally too scared to walk into a real “ethnic” restaurant (for real). They don’t do that well here. I mean I can understand if there aren’t lots of options but in places where there are…
But Chipotle does use organic meat, but that’s the only good thing I think. McDonald’s owned.
I haven’t been to Chipotle in a while, but when I do go, I get the soft tacos, which are not as filling as the burritos. I just couldn’t make through those burros anymore, too buku.
I tried Moe’s once, but didn’t like the burrito as much as Chipotle’s. They’re definitely a better value for what you get (pretty sure the guac is free), but my burrito fell apart fast. Qdoba is another Chipotle clone, but they’re pretty decent. I know whenever I eat at these places, it’s gonna be a high-calorie meal, because I have to have sour cream or guac on my tacos.

Good God man, you live in Arizona - why are you going to these places and not the real Mexican joints?

classic.
I definitely go to the authentic places way more, but I have to change it up once in a while. I’m probably jaded, too, since all the good stuff is right in my backyard. Still, all the good places here don’t stop people from lining up the drive-thrus at Taco Bell. [:/]

you know, ive eaten true authentic mexican food in texas and arizona among other places (my aunt is also from peru so i’ve had her dinners a lot too), and i’ve eaten countless homemade cantonese/chinese meals and i enjoy them very much. but honestly i enjoy americanized mexican/south american and chinese food just as much if not more. just because it isn’t authentic doesn’t mean that it isn’t flavorful or incredibly tasty. it is just different.
but i feel its all about where you come from and what you are accustomed to. so i can see people who have eaten true mexican/chinese food their whole lives hating this style of food. especially the fact that it passes as mexican or chinese in our culture. i know from eating true italian food growing up that i don’t generally like eating italian out. even though a lot of people would probably prefer the olive garden to my families recipes. and that’s fine.
and for the record this is how i feel about the olive garden:
well i’d trade any post paul ministry cd for a chipotle burrito in a heartbeat. that would be if i owned one.
It is what one is accustomed to - but there are many who won’t even try the real Mexican restaurants.
Why does Taco Bell have lines? Because as Fish said, it’s what people are accustomed to and sadly, in American culture, fast food compromised of grease, creams and sauces, are craved, throughout the day and night. This is all good and I’ve done this too, though rare. But to me, junk food just tastes bland to me. Hence, I’d go to the real ethnic restaurants. Also healthier and I think if many people did that, then maybe it would be a healthier nation.
There really is no need for a 1000 calorie meal no matter how good it tastes (but it doesn’t - their guacamole has to be the worst I’ve ever tasted). There is nothing like real guacamole - American or Mexican or otherwise. The secret to why their burritos are perceived to taste good? It is to drown everything in rice and sour cream to mask the taste. Chipotle puts a lot of sugar in the rice - they know this will cater to the US public.
I like how this thread went from the size of Al’s head to the authenticity of american-mexican food.
food is way more interesting than anything current Ministry even if it is Chipotle…

according to their nutritional info they put no sugar in the rice. although i have seen them pour some white stuff over new batches with the cilantro and was curius about that. must be salt.
stay away from their sc and guac, that shit is bad there so try it without as those actually make it way worse. just tortilla, rice, steak, fajita veggies, tomatoes, green salsa, lettuce, and cheese. 890 calories of heaven.
When I eat at Chipotle, I use the chipotle-flavored Tabasco on everything, purty tasty.
I had plans for a healthy dinner tonight, and now all this talk of Mexican food, guh! Must…resist…

Lord God. I L-O-V-E Tabasco. Love it. Pizza, pot roast, chili, certain soups, etc. I’ve got one of those big ass bottles of it at the house. Strange tho how it makes my head sweat - I can’t seem to figure that one out. [:P]
franks red hot for me.
I’m sure once the tour is over al will get lypo again, or get his stomach stapled or something other than actually take care of himself
i remember a few years ago when i saw ministry, front 242, and nitzer ebb all withing a short time span and i couldn’t believe that all those guys were from the same era and how much different they looked than al for being around the same age. those damn europeans and their healthier food and tacky track suits.
but all of them like their sunglasses. must be a rock star thing.
the whole idea of this thread was the size of al’s head. so what?
let’s talk food.
it is so incredibly easy to make your own guac, your own burritos and it’s CHEAPER.
al needs some good ole fashioned cookin’, darlin’.he needs to get him a new one, if you know what i mean.
i will now refer to the cuban as “big al”. perhaps he can get an endorsement like the subway fatso. oh jeez, long day, party peeps.
