Gets a so so rating. They seem to think it’s an album of halves - with the second half coming off second best. Who’d have thought someone like Jourgenson would run out of ideas on an album?
Still haven’t heard this album yet. Never really quite got over the queasy rapping on ‘Crackin Up’.

Yeah, I understand, after such highbrow album names as “Big Sexy Land” “Beers Steers and Queers” and “Linger Fickin’ Good” an album with a title like “Cocked and Loaded” seems pretty cringe-inducing.
Personally I dig the whole record except “Jack in the Crack”. I think the reviewer is missing the boat if he doesn’t get the pure joy that comes from “Viagra Culture”.
